Someone on head-fi is selling an Ares first version for $550 + ~$25 shipping. Any thoughts on the Ares vs the Ares II? Should I hold out for the Soekris 1321? Email Mod House to ask when they think it might be back in stock? Learn to love my Audio-gd? 
I would rate the og ares over the 1321, but it is a different signature. The ares is going to be a bit more warm and ““musical”” than the more neutral soekris stuff. I do think the ares ii is a further improvement over the og, so it might be worth the extra few hundred over the og
