I am planning to buy the Volume. Can anyone recommend to me how does it sound? My personal preferences with this set would be lush and thick vocals, decently detailed(not bright) treble. Bass i just don’t need it to be overpowering or bassy.

This review suggests the vocals are thick with the volume. Looks like it will suit my taste.

It’s the opposite of what you are looking at. Trust me.

Volume is upper mids/treble heavy, with thin note weight.

So I am bumping this post because this will probably end up a Collab. I plan on fixing that Midrange hump that crowds the sound. Any other thoughts?

these graphs are the ultimate cheat code, fill in the scope from 300hz to 600hz and add more upper treble, reduce the 13k bump for around 5 db and you will have an ultimate iem tuned on your name. reduce 1k to 3k by 1 dbs and the ear gain is alot, tone it down by 3 dbs and the lower treble needs to be toned down with it. boost 8 to 10k by 3 dbs.
add 2 db more subbass to have a better downward sloping signature for less fatigue and achieve a better in room response feel to it.
then you will have an in room flat tuned iem with a slight downward sloping response, then the main part begins, you can remain it as it is or add or remove any amount of subbass, midbass, treble or any frequency you want for a more colored signature to to suite the genre you like better or make it better suited for your own hrtf ( mainly 8k+ area)

From reviews, it feels that treble extension or air could be improved.

Exciting Collab because I almost bought Volume a few times but the pinna gain always scared me away.
Good bass quality, proper gain, air and good stage and timbre would make this a winner in this price category.

I think this is key for natural sounding vocals and instruments.

Hello, i want to buy the volume s, i saw that you like a bit for of bass for hip hop, i listen a lot of hip hop too and techno, am a producer and mastering engenier, so i think for mastering i can keep the stock tunning, but when i listen and enjoy music what u recommend, maybe a bost on low shelf? i want to know opinions and recommendations pls, thankss

I never owned the original Volumes but I do own the Volume S. I must say the Volume S’ tuning is more on the META tuning aka neutral but in a more natural sounding and warm way, meaning there is bass on this set but don’t expect a bass cannon feel like the Fatfreq IEMs, for those are usually the go to set when you want more bass on your tracks. Also in regards of the stock tuning, you can pretty much use the toggle switch to switch it from low impedance to high impedance mode, making the tuning more on the reference side, but in my opinion that tuning is not so good, so stick with the default mode.

Great all-arounder set when it comes to the Volume S and I think it’s a really good purchase for the price.

oh yes brother, i ment like i want to buy the volume s but idk if its better to buy the tea pro cause badguy says that he prefer those ones so i was thinking to be more in line with the curve of our brother badguy cause, i like very powerful bass too, i wanted to know if maybe you tried an eq giving a few extra dbs to the subass, cause he mention in his video that he is lacking 80hz and so, like i said, i want them to master music, and listen music too, edm, techno, hip hop, rock, a bit of all generes of course, so what can you tell me based on that.

also, i want to use them with 3.5 non balance cause i want to buy the dongle qudelix 5k and that dongle dont have 4.5 cause i have an iphone and the app and eq works really well from what i saw, the fiio ones dont work with iOS sadly, so thats why am asking if you already tried to eq them or maybe you are not a bass head or maybe you just like the original tuning.

If you can my advise to you is this, demo the IEMs that have been recommended to you, otherwise you’re better off choosing an IEM set that is more versatile. Also, if the reviewer that you like has the same library as you then go for it, if not, you’re probably gonna get the one that is like the opposite of that recommended IEM set coming from him.
