A bit much mid-bass thickness perhaps?

It is a thick boy, but oddly tasteful? If someone wants a mega warm set at around this price I’d recommend it.

But you must like warm to enjoy this no doubt. Otherwise, look far away lol

Kinda reminds me of the Twilight graph with more sub bass :man_shrugging:

Twilight a bit more contrasty, the boosted eargain helps it a lot with separation imo.
Pure sounds kinda melt together in a way.

It would have been nice if they added some late treble sparkle to give the set some contrast imo. But regardless, is the shell similar or the same to Hexa? Because if so, I may get these as a chill gaming set for long hours because the Hexa was crazy comfy to wear.

4U comparison would be cool since it’s $55 on sale lol

$41 at the moment on Amazon! Must be a glut of them

Damn, you’re the man. Thanks, brother. Looks like the Pure is a touch chunkier with a slightly longer nozzle.

Also, they added a lip to the nozzle… Legendary decision

No dampers in the nozzle on the Pure?

Edit: typo

Tanchjim does not get enough love.

Lol - I genuinely don’t get Ziigaat in their current state. The big brother company, Thie, is doing something similar.

Crank out 2-3 IEMs a month with similar tunings at different price brackets, only changing the hardware inside. Why do this? I get having a house sound, trust me I do, but why not have an IEM in each of the respective pricing brackets and release a new 1 once a year? Profit? Of course, at the expense of cohesion and integrity.

Sorry, rant over. Of course, they look fantastically tuned to the surprise of no one lol

Aye I totally agree, sending their IEM share of the market and us to  boring, boring, boring…

Wake up and smell the audio coffee, get a little bit funky/crazy before we need to use a tuning defibrillator on ya

Right. Just cranking out releases, devaluing their previous offerings AND their brand imo. I’m not the biggest fan of their IEMs, but Aful spaces their releases out really well, I have to give them credit. They made the P5 and P8 and sat on them, and guess what? They remained staples in the market. They came out with the P7 and Cantor, and are letting them simmer for a while until they come out with their new Flagship. That’s a smart way to do it imo.

God damn, Ziigaat. I love their IEMs too lol

Did you mean Kiwi Ears? They’ve had around 10 product launches this year. (over-ears, tws and dongles included). Ziigaat sits at 5 and Thie-Audio sits at 2.

Last year felt alot for Thie because they released the entire Hype series which was followed up by the Oracle MkIII and the Origin. This year? Only the Valhalla and the new Monarch.

Aful also cramped things together with the MagicOne, Explorer, Cantor and P5+2 released with only a short period between them. (And we have that new flagship coming soon and right after that the succesor to the P8).

Way too many many brands are releasing way too much. It’s getting a bit tiresome tbh.

Begs the question of how many sets or tuning profiles are enough - rhetorical/ something I’ve been thinking about…especially with the ability to eq a set closer to another set. The variables are nearly endless with only ~5 sets that physically fit really well.

I agree it seems like a market that doesn’t care one bit about cannibalizing its own sales but perhaps the numbers are smaller than most of us know. I mean I buy ‘popular’ models and find I have single or double digit serial numbers leading me to believe the quantity isn’t all that great for any of them and it’s a big world

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, they’re all the same company (group) :joy: Kiwi Ears, Xenns, Ziigaat, Thieaudio, now Punch Audio. Linsoul group :muscle: Puts comparing their output in a different light when you keep that in mind

Also, I trust they know a hell of a lot better than me exactly how to make money in the hobby. The number of releases is mind boggling, but I’m sure they’ll contine to make bank even if it’s hard for me to keep up :face_with_spiral_eyes::moneybag:
