it’s like, no matter what I do with that switch, it stays in RCA Input. I know nothing of soldering or building electronics, but whatever this switch should engage, isn’t happening
Ok, man. Sorry… I was hoping you were making a stupid mistake of the sort I make all the time. But… really, if you know about the toggle on the front of the A90 and what it’s supposed to do, then … I’ll keep my mistakes. I was hoping it was just simple absent-mindedness kind of problem. But… … oh well.
I am too ashamed to be specific about it, but i once spent 30 minutes in panic and despair because I’d neglected to switch from the “euro” voltage to the North American on one device I had. Neglected to even look on the side to see there was such a switch.

Do all of these have the static issue through RCA? It seems like there is conflicting info on the web about them, with someone saying it only was affecting earlier units and others saying they had to buy special shielded cables of some sort.
That sucks, man. I was hoping it could be a replacement for my Jotunheim. Makes me wonder if I should just keep the Jot and return the A90. Guess I’ll at least hook it up when it arrives as there is a 30 day free return window on it.
Yeah, your mileage may vary. It could also have to do with certain factors around the room. Ground loop issues have a variety of factors. If u plug it in and it’s not having issues like this or what I experienced, then you’re in for what sounded like one of the best amps I’ve heard to this day
I have other ways to route single-ended RCAs around if needed. It would be cool if I could get my Jotunheim sold sooner than later, but honestly might be neat to have both amps here to compare them directly. Either way, gonna be something new. I’m excited!
At least one of the people who had complained (on ASR) later said replacing the rca cables made the problem go away. He concluded the connectors on the cable weren’t good. Or weren’t attached well. One data point, anyway.
