that dual damper mod brings Olina graph veerrryyy close to O2 (at least the more sub-bass heavy O2 that I think I have, which could correspond to PW’s “Set 2”)

you don’t need to wait IMO - the mods outlined on PW’s squig already show options to boost Olina bass above Mele if you wanted Mele’s bass but improved stage, imaging, treble extension, etc

I made an interesting discovery with the Mele yesterday at work. I was working and sweating a bit when I noticed the volume of the right earbud was less than the left. I took them off to check and discovered the filter screen on the right was completely saturated and blocking the sound. I did not have extra filters with me so I pulled it off. Also to keep the sound even I pulled off the left one which was partially wet. The difference in sound was immediate. A lot more sparkle up top and the mids came forward slightly. Same amazing base. I actually prefer it. Those little filters really do affect tuning. From what I am seeing I don’t believe there’s any way that sweat will run uphill to actually reach the driver. It is quite a ways inside and up a bit considering the angle I wear them. For anybody that uses them at home in a relatively dry environment I don’t think you would be at much risk leaving the filters off. Just make sure you clean your buds so they don’t get wax in them. For those who think the Mele needs a little more sparkle it’s a very good mod in my opinion.

I like the upper/mid treble so I think I’ll stick with the HBB filter mod for now…I don’t listen loud enough to have the problem.

I follow this guy a lot, is one of my favourite youtubers, and this list is not in order. The order is sort only for groups, but vertically in each grupo, only sort from older to most recent. Is incredible that a less 100€ IEM can reach the NMMS (no mames) group!
