not sure why anybody would do that… third gen T1 is a completely different very very bassy tuning that that has heavier dampening. I like the third gen but holy hell… not for competitives
Thats what I wondered and I recall you saying about 3rd gen before. The advert said this was carried out by an authorised beyerdynamic repair centre which I doubt.
They would not perform such a change to a 2nd gen as not only are the new drivers more costly but it changes the headphone it also wouldn’t provide the same sound as the 3rd gen to begin with as the overall design is different… sounds extremely sketchy and would advise just avoiding that.
Thats what I thought when I read the advert then just immediately closed the for sale thread.
So I may have found a pair of T1.2 with around 100hrs of use that someone is willing to sell on for £300. Just waiting to see if they are still available.
