Yea well some are different drivers so they do sound quite different. So it’s like…
You are together with your Girl but the “Love making” gets a bit boring. So you try a different one and it’s quite good until it gets boring again. U know? I had that experience switching from dynamic Driver to Planar Magnetic.
Haha that actually makes a lot of sense. High quality gelato is always going to be good. Maybe at first you want vanilla but after a while you want a different flavor, not any better but different. That’s a good way to think about it. So I guess the real target is finding that flavor which never gets boring or takes a long time to get boring
Or have 2 Headphones that complement each other.
Im trying to find one for gaming and Bass and i have one for Open sounding Seperation nice Treble and Detail retrieval.
I can’t answer that question lol. I can tell you my most used headphones, and that would the the ksc75 though
I would really slow down here. When you really get into true flagship territory, you might find that to actually get the most out of them, that you spend 2 to 3x the amount of the headphones on source gear to power them properly. Also don’t rush into things, if you are interested in the clear, go for it, and a month later or so come back thinking what you want to do and how you want to approach things
Also I 2nd the 2 headphones thing, many find that they really could just use another headphone, as there aren’t really any true all rounders, and having a few pairs keeps things fresh and enjoyable while covering your bases
With all the headphones being thrown out here if you settle on the clears I would definitely look at Audeze for your next mistress lol. Big planars are so fun to listen too. Also I would also grab the big 3 from koss as they all give you a little different something to listen with and they are dirt cheap god tier headphones. Lastly have fun with trying things out before you move onto the next best thing.
