Picked these up recently since I haven’t tried out any IEMs from this company before. Below are my mini impressions for each.
The Kefine Klean SV’s are solidly made and have some nice heft to them. I like how there are different tuning nozzles so you can dial in your preferred sound. I would describe the sound characteristics of this one simply as a great all-rounder that goes well with any genre of music. For me, the black nozzle with wider bore tips is the secret sauce for the best performance. Having said that, I think it is also highly ear tip dependent so it can show its true colors. I spent a good bit frustrated with either the IEMs falling out due to its short nozzle (fit) or the sound profile just being off (fit/insertion depth/bore size). I am glad I had the TANGZU Tang Sancai Tips on hand which helped with fit and tuning in my case (ymmv). This helped elevate its status from a meh sounding IEM to a good sounding one. Be prepared to spend a bit of time to find the perfect synergy for your preference, it will be worth it though!
The Kefine Delci’s are quality made IEMs that also feel solid due to their metal shells. I like how they include a set of extra filters in case the stock ones need exchanging over time. I would describe the sound characteristics of this one simply as an amazing all-rounder that goes well with any genre of music. It has a nice low end presence due to its warmer tuning with very minimal bleed into the lower mids. For me, the Dunu S&S tips helped achieve the perfect fit for my ears due to its shorter nozzle length (ymmv). Another bonus is that it includes a good stock cable, no need to upgrade unless you really want to. If I were pressed to nitpick it would be that because the shells are metal, there can be condensation build up near the filter during long listening sessions. This is especially the case when the IEMs have been sitting in a cooler/cold area beforehand. Something to keep in mind and to spot check/dry out as needed. Overall, these are currently one of my favorite sounding single DD IEMs under $100.
Oh, we have been introduced. I have seen the enemy, and the enemy are little red bastards! I am about to Epic Fury their asses here after things dry out. Oddly, the insane rain took care of most of them. I will show no mercy!
I got this from a friend and I have managed to get this set half the price. What can I say it’s a really interesting set and a different tuning in general compared to the sets I own. I am just gonna say this off the bat, I am not a fan of its stock cable and that does not meet the quality standards of Effect Audio.
Also I think IEM brands collaborating with expensive cable brands should never ever be a trend, for I cannot justify these set’s price increase due to the Effect Audio tax.
Are you planning on flashing a custom OS onto it. The brick has some pretty decent options though not as much as Anbernic devices. I don’t think it has onion OS but it can support crossmix, knulli, minUI, and spruce.
A hotel room and tickets for Axpona 2026! Finally gonna make it to the “local” audio show and hear some fancy, fancy speakers (and share a bit of my collection of IEMs and whatnot with people there)! If you’re gonna be at Axpona on Friday or Saturday, I’d be glad to see you there!
I received the 7hz Diablo yesterday, and am enjoying it. The bass is real, and it scales fairly well. The case is great, but that cable is not good. I might swap it, and I know I have a Kinera Ace somewhere in my office.
Has anyone else had experience buying 2nd hand IEMs? Did you also get free earwax with yours? I got a set of Performer 7s but even after decent cleaning I’m loathed to actually put them in my ears.
Picked up the CCA Rhapsody to give it an audition, another company in the more budget segment I have not yet owned any products from. Solid resin shells and although some users have mentioned they are quite chonky, especially with today’s smaller-shelled IEMs, I myself thought they were fine size wise and fit my ears well. These were also my first pair using the QDC connector style cables and I had to fiddle with the positioning a bit but eventually got used to it, the Dunu ear tips helped with this. Also, despite what some users say the stock cable worked just fine; it actually helps not having a larger and heavier cable which would probably (for me) cause issues with a comfortable fit.
As far as tuning and the switches, I might be in the minority here but found my favorite to be the DDDD position for the most balanced sounding presentation. For a more “fun” warmer and bass-focused tuning, I also liked the UUDD position. This one reminded me a bit of the Kefine Delci although slightly less refined in overall tuning perhaps (to my ears, ymmv). I also used it while gaming and it performed well, no BA timbre that I can pick up (with the tuning settings mentioned). All-in-all, a well-tuned IEM that I plan to keep enjoying.
Edit: Wanted to briefly give an update on tuning. I have found that the UDDD position is currently my favorite taking the best of both the stock (DDDD) and bass emphasized fun (UUDD) tunings. As always, this is my own preference and ymmv but wanted to throw it out there in case fellow owners are curious and wanted to try it out.
I apparently got squirrelly on IEMs this last week. I got Diablo 5 days ago, and have the Wan’er Red Lion coming in a couple days. I had the OG Odyssey on my wish list and then @VIVIDICI_111 did a ranking video, and when I looked they were on sale at Amazon ( just over $180 ). My initial impression is that they are the Lush with a bit more bass, which makes them more engaging.
Nice pickup! These (and the Crescent) have been on wish list for a while now as well. Although I can’t foot the bill just yet, maybe the next time they go on sale and hopefully before 11/11.
Round three this week. I am just getting time, but the initial impressions are solid. I think Kiwi Ears Cadenza is still my budget pick, but the Red Lion is right there.
Also, I am tempted to buy a pair just for the cable. Ziigaat should take notes.
Edit - the left side has developed some serious driver flex. That isn’t cool.
