What is the biggest thing you've learned during your audiophile journey?

My early years were in the 80s with chest high speakers and huge amps. I probably spent too much on both car and home audio then. I too got burned out, then got busy and only listened to music at work with headphones, most of which were awful consumer grade sets that didn’t sound very good.

Yes absolutely, the current chifi period has been fun and a bit crazy, and mostly in a very good ways.
It is shocking how good the gear you can get for very modest prices right now.

Sort of odd that being stuck at home exposed me to a better community as well.

@John_W_Clark what a time that must of been to be alive in the audio community! I’m a bit younger than you I assume so I never experienced that. I got a taste of it with my father and his CD and A-track collection at home. I still remember when I first showed him Spotify and he damn near fell over.

With how crazy the market is for the Chi-fi stuff recently, options are endless and somewhat overwhelming. That’s why this little community of ours is so important. With KZ having about 10,000 different sets coming out every year it seems, you’d be tasked with finding a needle in the hay stack. And that’s just one brand!
