Akg 7XX, IDK what even motivated me to buy them. I had no interest in HiFi. Then I heard I needed an amp to get the best out of them so I looked around, for a cheap amp and I found Z. Classic Z. Vintage Z back when he’d jizz at every SMSL amp that came out.
So he sold me on an amp/DAC they made for 70 bones, no USB, only spdfif and “that’s a good thing” he said no need to dick around with Chinese drivers and you can use it with your computer, game console, tv, whatever so I bought it and I moved on with my life.
Couple of years ago when I thought I’d be nice to upgrade my old akg’s and I started getting into vinyls and I wanted a decent set of speakers I looked high and low for that crazy gringo shooting POV’s like a failed PHub model and I couldn’t find him. Until I finally checked that little black box I had stuck on the underside of my desk for so many years.
“SMSL”… I hit up YouTube and there he was… with a huge library of videos on EVERYTHING, living his best weeb boi life doing whatever he wanted with Chewbacca the kitty
