I’ve been watching and reading lots of reviews for several sites, youtubers, pros and amateurs alike.
I was wondering… who is your most trusty source of objective opinions?
The hype-fueled Zeos?
The engineer expert (and extremely friendly) Paul McGowan?
The old school cool Steve Guttemberg?
Personally I’ve found a good source of extremely simple, buddy like reccomendations of a pair of argentinean youtubers (yes, there are some trusty Argentineans) “Suena Tremendo” (sounds tremendous).
They are like a couple of well informed friends that gives advice on everything audio related. Their videos are badly edited, they have sound problems but I found them very trusty.
Zeos is my favorite. but also like Joshua Valor he goes into more detail. in The Headphone Show he does comparisons. DMS goes into a lot of detail too. Berts if he ever releases new ones, are very informative. Metal 571 goes into a lot of detail.
Zeos I watch for entertainment, he’s quite the entertainer and comedian.
Joshua usually does well giving good descriptions, more in depth than Zeos.
BGGAR is really good for IEMs.
Having looked into IEMs a lot recently bggar has been a great resource. He covers a lot of models and I like his approach. I find his individual reviews very helpful. He also has good comparisons to other like models on the individual review. I will say his top X videos are a little all over the place and can be a bit rambly, but overall i’ve found him very helpful.
Crinacle lately has started becoming one of my favorites. I like his approach and these days I much prefer to read. His approach is nice because usually regardless of if he likes something a lot or not I don’t feel like I’m being advertised an item or pressured into any sort of hype it’s a mostly objective approach with a good mix of subjectivity. Also my ears tend to agree with a lot of his assesments iem side of things. Can’t wait how he develops in his headphone side of reviews
