Why iems ideally should not have midbass for a proper play back of songs with lots of natural instruments if the song is recorded properly

True, planars can give us the best of both worlds. I A/B’d EA500 & Tangzu Heyday last night and the difference in clarity in that region is stark on a busy track.

a/B EA1000 today with Heyday and the EA1000 beats it overall. That DD reproduces same amount clarity and detail as planar. Midbass is tight, doesn’t bleed into lower mids. Has overall better staging and imaging. I am truly impressed with it.

wow that’s impressive. I wonder how much of that is due to it simply being brighter

have you heard ea500LM?

I am listening with retuned nozzle on EA1000, I brought upper mids and treble way down and it is still beats Heyday for me.

I have not heard EA500 LM. Don’t see a reason to buy it, but starting to get the itch with everyone hyping it. I might buy and mod it

If you have the EA1000, there is no reason to go for 500LM.
