Your Top 5 IEMs right now that you are using?

I feel like EM10 only ever gets referenced as “you paid too much for the Supermix 4 tuning” but it just vibes with me, I don’t know if it’s my HRTF or what but I honestly love it. I reach for it more often than a lot of sets I have, and it’s kind of become a reference piece tbh.

I found it to be incredibly resolving. And very engaging. But only very engaging on my R4; when I ran it off my desktop chain, I didn’t dig it as much - synergy :man_shrugging: I only got rid because I wanted to spend the money on other IEMs but I enjoyed it so much that it’s probably inevitable that I will circle back round to it. Particularly as I have now reached endgame on my desktop chain.

In no particular order and subject to change by next week:

  1. Penon Fan 3 (OK, I lied: No. 1 for me with every genre)
  2. Thieaudio Hype 2 (Fantastic with rock)
  3. Kiwi Ears Aether (Impressive new planar, so well tuned)
  4. Softears Volume S (The best meta-tuned IEM I’ve heard)
  5. AFUL MagicOne (Still so unique and special with mids-focused music)

Lately I’ve been using:

  1. Shanling Majestic- I have nothing to say. Audiophile paradise with full 3D stage and superb resolution and separation. Beautiful vocals. The bass is cracking sinks.
  2. Hype 2- an underrated beast! When I just want to listen to music I grab them and …
  3. Glacier-outstanding Harman. Some guys here didn’t rate it properly, maybe they had a little time with it. Animal .
  4. KL Bass- not much inferior to my other tribrides.
  5. IE600- My favorite IEM for metal and not only.
  6. DTE900- something that is good is good.
  7. Saber 3- oh, I love it very much.
  8. Others… ,oops it became more than 5

fan 3 surprised me at how much I like it after pretty much blind buying :joy:, might be the best fit/comfort for me I’ve tried as well.

Yes! Fan 3 is surprisingly comfy for a bit of a chunky fella.

The MagicOne really is magical. It has convinced me that I love BA bass.

The Letshuoer Mystic 8 is the best IEM i’ve heard in quite a while. Sexxxy sound.

Curious, how does it compare with the EJ07?

Long time audiophile, but quite new to iems.

I only have five so far, but I have a clear favourite. In order of purchase:

  1. 7hz Timeless 2
  2. Thieaudio Origin
  3. Monarch MkII
  4. Monarch MkIII
  5. Butastur

For my ears, the Buta outpaces all the others. I’m not great at iem reviewspeak yet, so I’ll just say that it has soul.

Second place goes to the Origin.

My pair keeps me happy, so as long as yours keeps you happy as well then I’m super happy!
Edit: I’m rocking the Symphonium Europa this morning but was planning to switch to EM10 after lunch! What fortuitous timing!

Can’t wait to put EM10 on my desktop rig tomorrow :metal:

They’re easy enough to power but they do like some power behind them IMO. Glad that you’re liking them!

Haven’t heard the EM10 but always respected its looks. :sunglasses:

You can always borrow mine (as long as I still have them) if you feel the need to scratch the itch!

I’ve been running EM10 on my desktop rig today; testing a few new cables. It’s been a lot of fun.
