11.11 sales 2024: tips and general how-to

No, didn’t cross my mind, I was doing mouse drag-n-drop. But now that I’ve tried the Ctrl stuff it also doesn’t work. If you mean to try to select the image as if I was selecting text, then Ctrl-C. I can’t Ctrl-V that into the search box or the image-search popup, it doesn’t do anything. Drag-n-drop is handled OK visually, just has no effect. And I’ve disabled my anti-Javascript and adblock too, so it’s not from that. So I have to stick with mobile or with the Wishlist way, because saving screenshots to file is too much hassle. Besides, a few times in the past I got the impression some coupons or best prices weren’t showing up on PC, I may have got confused but just in case I like to do it all on mobile when finally ordering.

Nah, using the snippet tool if you are on windows or if you dont have it, install flameshot and then ctrl-c and then ctrl-v into the aliexpress box.

Never heard of snippet, and I’m on Linux.

Try to ask this kind of stuff in gear-focused topics, this is a topic for how to get the best deals/prices between different sellers and discount mechanisms.

Use flameshot then, that is what im using in Linux Mint.

Oh, that’s just a screenshot app. I have a screenshot app, it just doesn’t paste into that search popup. I think this is a browser thing (Vivaldi, Chromium-based), and I’m not about to switch browsers just for this one function, I can always go to the Wishlist view and access the search I need in 2 clicks.

hmmm, what browser is it? Im on brave and have no issues.

aight sorry!

also prices for some items I was eyeing on ali got higher when the sale started lmao

Typical as the discounts via coupons or other sources would have made the discounts very big and now they also look better.
100 to 80 = 20% off
or
110 to 80 = 37,5% off

Linsoul’s Ali store has the pic with all the platform-wide discount codes BTW:

Nice to see, since I wasn’t getting the smaller value ones as collectible coupons on the Ali app’s Home screen.

Power of the sale. (doesnt even cancel out my 25% vat sadly…)

Example of me splitting up an order so I could get the biggest discount I could (believe it was spend 269 usd and get 40 usd off). And then spend the smaller order where I used the spend 39 usd and get 5 usd off.

(bought an 1TB NVME along with a full kit for the Orange Pi 5 Plus 16GB.)

What’s with this BS? On apos they consider it a sale to have some made-up price as the “original price”…

Aren’t the Meze 109s typically $800?

Yes. $800. And they’re not worth that price, IMO.

Hiby R1 has been in and out of checkout with a 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter for padding.

Held off so far!

Keep telling myself that if I need it in a few weeks, it’ll be cheaper then used anyway.

So long as people don’t actually believe $160 is the real price

JM21 looks like a neat device.

Edit: easy to forget this “DAP” I already have… sounds pretty good to me!

If iOS had an option for smaller volume steps… sorted!

Same on the Questyle M15 tbh. Hell, I might leave that until Chinese New Year’s, wait for more potential measurement-reviews on the 15i and 15C just to increase my confidence that I’m really choosing the brightest (neutral-est) one by going for the OG. And of course for these newer ones to grab more of the attention, including the M18i, and further drive the OG’s price down.

One audio thing I’m getting this month will be some new silicone/gel pads meant for Peltor earmuffs since I replaced my originals with memory foamies because of comfort and lost a ton of sound isolation. These weird looking ones I’ve found get many reviews that say they’re more comfortable but also more isolating than the originals. Also a second pair I hope can be adapted to my Sennheiser 4.50 BTNC, same reason.

Then I might get a balanced-to-RCA cable to be able to play through estats or speakers from the M15 or from whatever desktop-grade dongle with a BAL-out I end up getting later. Plenty of options on Ali, braided and nice looking, many of them sub $25 even before discounts. And maybe just maybe an inline USB power meter to be able to check how much my dongles are draining my phone and what rate all of my USB stuff is really charging at.

According to the admin in linsoul discord there will probably be another codes to get for sale during black friday/cyber monday. My guess the complete announcement would be after the 11.11 sale ended.
