Doesn’t AKM operate 5 fabs? Not do downplay the loss of 20% capacity and possible highly specialized machines. But I don’t buy “Everything is FUBAR”.
I can only go by what I have seen reported, buy there is an expectation of a shortage of AK DAC’s.
Schiit says it has significant stock, but they have extended the life of the Modi Multibit just because of this fire.

Looks like the price of the Dacs equipped with AKM chips is going to increase soon. Too bad can’t afford to get one now.
There will be companies that will manufacture the chips on behalf of Akm, as long as the factory is rebuilt or modernised.
I’m not too worried about that.
Rather, the hand will be laid on the chips that are still unbuilt, so it will be more likely that they will try to sell the Dacs and everything else at a significantly higher price.
And that there will be supply bottlenecks, that people will wait longer for the product.
Since I am not planning to buy anything new myself, I am reassured.
