I have this as well. It sounds like driver flex, and itās worst on the right. Itās audible on the left only if I hold the IEM and move it in or out of my ear in a particular way. I donāt consider it at the level of a problem on the left. But on the right, itās clicking with any jaw movement. Sometimes from other head movements as well. If Iām totally still itās fine. But head movement and I get this clicking/crinkle noise. Itās not related to the cable. Iāve seen other people report this as well, another guy had this issue in his case on the left and the right was OK. It seems to be an issue.
Welcome to HFGF
That sounds more like crinkle as driver flex usually settles down once an IEM is seated/fitted correctly (at least with DDās) I donāt think crinkle or flex has ever been a problem with planar IEMās to my knowledge before but I maybe wrong?
Yes, with any DDs itās only something I have ever noticed sticking them in, when they get seated itās fine. Has never been a problem for me. I have read of this being a potential issue with DD IEMs but Iāve not had it before.
This one, it is, it persists, particularly with jaw movement. Itās pretty low level but any quiet passage itās for sure annoying.
There are relatively few planar IEMs so maybe fewer reports overall. But this specific set, there seem to be quite a few reports of it. Iām pretty sure what Iām experiencing with them is the same issue. Planar diaphragms are very light, and this is a big one, possibly the change of pressure is enough to push it against something that it can click.
Other than this, they sound great.
I had this for a short time but itās not an issue any more⦠I thought it had to do with the tips doing some kind of clicking noise with jaw movement.
Yes, this this this. Itās not ruining my experience as long as the music plays at normal level, but if Iām walking and theres quiet fragment, or on/off moment, when there are gaps in the music - āclick click click clickā. Rips me outta the immersion haha. But when Iām still these are amaazing. So clear and fast, and the bass extends like crazy.
Greetings just got my timeless from my 11.11 linsoul haul and right now in search for the best fitting tips for them
Right now I had the most success with cp500 cause my CP 100 didnāt fit right i didnāt want to force final e on it before I did a check if they fit, so if anyone has tried it please enlighten me
Otherwise wise Iāll try CP 145 and 155 or are there other community approved tips i should try ?
Would be thankful for every tip ^^
Got the Timeless Gen II 3 days ago. No QC issue noticed so far, no channel imbalance either.
After approx. 12 hours of listening time, I am very enthusiastic about the comfort. Tight seal with transparent/black stock mounted pair of tips (after having tried almost all tips included in the package). I rarely got such a secured fit until now, it helps to dive deep into the music.
Usually, I like to play with tips and cables, but here, there is no need. This delivery is perfect as it is, especially at USD 200.-.
Soundwise, I am satisfied. More than satisfied, actually. OOTB, I was a bit underwhelmed by the mids. They were thinner as I like them to be. I am a Ā« mid-head Ā» and my recent IEMs purchases took this aspect into account. The Timeless was more an impulsive purchase, out of curiosity, if I can say so. Now, I am into the brain burn-in process and the mids seem to gain more body and substance. Story continuesā¦
The bass is a strong asset from the Timeless. Impactful, quick and precise. It fits my bill and with the multiple musical genres I listen to.
The upper mids section is just as energetic as it should. Then, the treble is extended enough to sound realistic. No harshness of any kind so far.
The Timeless being less mid-centric or relaxed sounding than my last purchases, I find them a bit fatiguing after 2-3 hours. Nothing bad really, but itās an intense and immersive listen.
My source is a warmish/analogue sounding DAP (Calyx M) and I think both pair very well.
Expectations fulfilled for the time being.
I am afraid I will join nymz in the āmy timeless got lost in customsā-club
Sucks to hear that when I got mine in a week to Germany and that did include delayed delivery of 3 days after i was away the first time they did try to get it to me
Have to say i was impressed that linsoul did get them this fast here was expecting a delay with 11.11 influx of orders
Before the pandemic, it was early 2019 if I remember well, I had my BGVP DM6 stuck for 2 months in customs⦠patience and hope are requested in these cases. Sorry for you anyway, until further notice.
How much did you have to pay in vat, customs fee and postage fees with linsoul? I am also from Germany, but didnāt want to gamble with all the fees, so I ordered from hifigo. Last time it took 3 days after customs to arrive at my door, but now it is already 6 days in status ācustom cleareance completedā
During 2020 I got lucky with aliexpress and some other vendors⦠packages took soo long, that I could open a dispute with aliexpress and get my money back⦠the merchandise arrived a few weeks later. Didnāt really benefit however, since it was only a few dollars worth of stuff and I just ordered it a second time anywaysā¦
You see, patience pays off. Honestly, 6 days (and yes, still counting) in the customs is nothing dramatic. It happened to me several times, sometimes even longer than a week (Switzerland) and the items always arrived at the end. Still, itās understandable⦠YOU WANT IT NOW! Itās annoying having the new toy not too far away from your door, while owners already report impressions.
With a bit of luck, you will get them on Saturday morning or early next week.
Only got to pay 23⬠customs for a 400$ order, so not sure how much value linsoul did declare
Who tried the Timeless with the azla crystal ?
Have anyone compared these to the GL20ās?
Order is still at unfulfilled stage, I guess that makes sense, but frustrating, I really hope Iām not abroad for Christmas when it comes. I expect if I canceled the order Iād be out of my $100 for $50 voucher as they were special to that period. Not much choice.
I ordered the blue Mele on 11.11 and it got fulfilled immediately, and then the box sat in a sorting center for 6 days. International shipping has some crazy randomness to it.
I am new to getting stuff direct from China, but have had a few watches shipped from the EU. At least this isnāt as stupidly expensive. Shipping a $300 watch from Switzerland can easily cost $75 without taxes, and still take two weeks and may need to clear customs ( usually price dependent ).
My Timeless ordered Linsoul UK/Amazon came from China had zero VAT/customs added and the declared value IIRC?..letās just say in my favour
