I would say order from somewhere with good customer service and go with what you heart desires
I didnāt see QC issues with Kato, but then I didnāt search for it and given the reviews and asking price, is has not been sold as much as the Aria, I guess.
One thing is certain: Iām wary about moondrop now that my left Aria died on me.
what a mess for god. quality control is rock bottom.
I hope my hifiman edition xs will last a long time because it hasnāt been cheap. You will say that senheisser is much better but I remember once I tried the hd599 and it came completely mute on one side. anyway.
back to the topic ie there Iām still struggling. I had thought about lokahi audio because trustworthy people have told me that it is top but it is another mmcx so for now hana takes the lead. Price/quality ratio is top but I want to be cautious.
I have had an H40 for over a year and half. It is mcx and I use it enough over the time. I definitely do not remove cable but outside of that itās been very reliable. Wish itās sound was as good
I Hope your timeless doesnt broke in 1 moth!! A lot of break in a few weeks.
Maybe the timeless in the best of cases does not break and lasts about 5-6 months.
Not the best way to wish something for someone⦠but thanks I guess.
Mine works perfect after 4 months, I do take care of them nevertheless.
Had mine 5 months and theyāve been used a lot ā¦no issues here.
Iāve had mine for 5 months as well. Pretty much have used them every single day give or take, switched out cables 3 times and Iāve not had a single issue.
Same⦠used them a lot in the last 4 months or so without any issues at all (2nd batch with hard case for tips)
How can you say best case is 5-6 month, when they basically only exists for 6 months or so (at least that is roughly the time frame people started buying them)? fake newsā¦
Most of the ones that have broken Iām afraid he treated them like a baby. But this is chi-fi, enjoy today, tomorrow it might not work anymore.
That is precisely why, my friend. Several users who bought them in September/October no longer work. Those iems are already 5-6 months old. Thatās why I say in the best case scenario.
Itās not fake news, the web, forums and YouTube is full of failures of this headset like no other Iāve seen in this price range. You enjoy them now.
Got any links to this āfull of failuresā accusation?
And how does this become the best case? There are a lot of users (see comments above) who have a 5-6 months old timeless, that is still working. Wouldnāt that be the best case? And wouldnāt that best case a year from now be even better, when they are still working?
Itās like saying a week after a new product released āthere are some users reporting defects within the first week, so the best case is that this product will work only for a weekā. Flawed logic.
Totally agree with this if it aināt broke then it probably wonāt.
Well I could give you links⦠I leave you someā¦

I could tell you which channels say not to buy it directly and also in their videos they talk about lousy quality control. Ask them directly.
Live digital, changoleon opinionā¦
I could tell you lots and lots of comments on videos that talk about QC. But I donāt have time to spare, you look for them, Iāll leave you some.
I have ignored the haters, but I also show them to you.
Many users of this forum give as a majority points of view like mine:
Coincidence that 7hz is with 0 votes?
Without leaving this forum you will see reports apart from me, from @Erokh
@nymz said this brand had QC failuresā¦
The same aliexpress told me that they will improve the QC of this earphone because they know there are problems. I attach a photo.
Is it worth it xd?
@lilhm sometimes you have to read things you donāt want but come on, itās not my fault. Iāll tell you again, enjoy your iems and donāt get angry.
I never been angry, I just pointed out your flawed logic ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Which still stands. āA lot of reports about defectsā is a bad metric. The only reasonable assumption you can make from those reports is, that there may be higher defect rate than usual. What is a typical failure rate? 2%? What is an increased failure rate? 5%? 10%? You claim it is 100% at 6 months
I read a lot about the reports about QC before I bought my timeless. When I recommended it to others, I did add the notion, that there are many QC issues reported. I am fully aware of all those reports that you listed. But your claims of 100% failure rate are ridiculous⦠and your inability to see that is your loss, because it is obvious to anyone elseā¦
I guess Crinacle said it best (https://youtu.be/dCgPrQ8yYJU?t=424):
Donāt buy [the timeless] if you are THAT concerned about QC issues, but if you really follow that philosophy then donāt buy any IEMs
I just did a balance test by listening to Spotify in mono, not a very technical test lol but all sounds were level and dead centre, thatās good enough for me.
redditā¦do me a favour a wee bitch fest at best folks donāt use it to praise stuff?..
Iāve probably watched the first 3 Youtube videos (not gonna watch them again) and I canāt recall any of their sets breaking the fourth shock jock video well lets not get me started on thatā¦Yes folks have experienced problems with that set as well as other sets like Mele, Olina, Starfield etc but I wouldnāt call Timeless any worse.
My sonās Dusk broke in 3 months so it happens. This is mcx so for pete sakes leave the cables on or switch once. I realize you can do it many times and be fine but why bother. Yes on my two pins I regularly remove cables mcx nope .If it did break I would buy an S 12 . I agree with what Crinnacle said on iems btw. Oh and by the way itās better than my Blessing 2 ! ( for my ears and library).
