šŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

I Hope your timeless doesnt broke in 1 moth!! A lot of break in a few weeks.
Maybe the timeless in the best of cases does not break and lasts about 5-6 months.

Not the best way to wish something for someone… but thanks I guess.

Mine works perfect after 4 months, I do take care of them nevertheless.

Had mine 5 months and they’ve been used a lot …no issues here.

I’ve had mine for 5 months as well. Pretty much have used them every single day give or take, switched out cables 3 times and I’ve not had a single issue.

Same… used them a lot in the last 4 months or so without any issues at all (2nd batch with hard case for tips)

How can you say best case is 5-6 month, when they basically only exists for 6 months or so (at least that is roughly the time frame people started buying them)? fake news…

Most of the ones that have broken I’m afraid he treated them like a baby. But this is chi-fi, enjoy today, tomorrow it might not work anymore.

That is precisely why, my friend. Several users who bought them in September/October no longer work. Those iems are already 5-6 months old. That’s why I say in the best case scenario.

It’s not fake news, the web, forums and YouTube is full of failures of this headset like no other I’ve seen in this price range. You enjoy them now.

Got any links to this ā€œfull of failuresā€ accusation?

And how does this become the best case? There are a lot of users (see comments above) who have a 5-6 months old timeless, that is still working. Wouldn’t that be the best case? And wouldn’t that best case a year from now be even better, when they are still working?

It’s like saying a week after a new product released ā€œthere are some users reporting defects within the first week, so the best case is that this product will work only for a weekā€. Flawed logic.

Totally agree with this if it ain’t broke then it probably won’t.

Well I could give you links… I leave you some…
https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/t3mbk7/my_second_pair_of_7hz_timeless_broke_today/

I could tell you which channels say not to buy it directly and also in their videos they talk about lousy quality control. Ask them directly.
Live digital, changoleon opinion…

I could tell you lots and lots of comments on videos that talk about QC. But I don’t have time to spare, you look for them, I’ll leave you some.

I have ignored the haters, but I also show them to you.

Many users of this forum give as a majority points of view like mine:

Coincidence that 7hz is with 0 votes?
Without leaving this forum you will see reports apart from me, from @Erokh
@nymz said this brand had QC failures…

The same aliexpress told me that they will improve the QC of this earphone because they know there are problems. I attach a photo.

Is it worth it xd?

@lilhm sometimes you have to read things you don’t want but come on, it’s not my fault. I’ll tell you again, enjoy your iems and don’t get angry.

I never been angry, I just pointed out your flawed logic ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ
Which still stands. ā€œA lot of reports about defectsā€ is a bad metric. The only reasonable assumption you can make from those reports is, that there may be higher defect rate than usual. What is a typical failure rate? 2%? What is an increased failure rate? 5%? 10%? You claim it is 100% at 6 months

I read a lot about the reports about QC before I bought my timeless. When I recommended it to others, I did add the notion, that there are many QC issues reported. I am fully aware of all those reports that you listed. But your claims of 100% failure rate are ridiculous… and your inability to see that is your loss, because it is obvious to anyone else…

I guess Crinacle said it best (https://youtu.be/dCgPrQ8yYJU?t=424):

Don’t buy [the timeless] if you are THAT concerned about QC issues, but if you really follow that philosophy then don’t buy any IEMs

I just did a balance test by listening to Spotify in mono, not a very technical test lol but all sounds were level and dead centre, that’s good enough for me.

reddit…do me a favour a wee bitch fest at best folks don’t use it to praise stuff?..

I’ve probably watched the first 3 Youtube videos (not gonna watch them again) and I can’t recall any of their sets breaking :man_shrugging: the fourth shock jock video well lets not get me started on that…Yes folks have experienced problems with that set as well as other sets like Mele, Olina, Starfield etc but I wouldn’t call Timeless any worse.

My son’s Dusk broke in 3 months so it happens. This is mcx so for pete sakes leave the cables on or switch once. I realize you can do it many times and be fine but why bother. Yes on my two pins I regularly remove cables mcx nope .If it did break I would buy an S 12 . I agree with what Crinnacle said on iems btw. Oh and by the way it’s better than my Blessing 2 ! ( for my ears and library).

This right here. MMCX connectors weren’t designed with audio in mind and I really don’t think it’s a good idea to keep changing them all the time. I ended up with the stock cable because I use more SE sources than balanced ones.

Timeless going strong since December, no issues so far. It’s sad to hear about the QC issues and we should held 7Hz accountable. But I don’t think this should be an excuse to rain in other people’s parades, at least IMO.

I have said that it is a headset that fails and that it can fail that you enjoy it now. I have not said that it fails, simply that since it has 6 months to live and so many reports, it is likely that they will continue to be seen.
I repeat, it’s not my fault that you read things you don’t want to read and 7hz has a bad QC.

Unfortunately, there are IEMs with bad hardware. When the hardware is bad, quality control can’t help. There are just drivers that break down quickly. That is all! I don’t know if it’s Timeless of them, I don’t own them. :slightly_smiling_face:

Do you even know yourself what you are saying? If you say it has only 6 months to live, you do say it will fail. You contradict yourself in the same sentence. Maybe not only your logic is flawed but also your language capabilities?

I repeat, it’s not my fault that you read things you don’t want to

What are you talking about? I didn’t read anything I didn’t want to

and 7hz has a bad QC

I never accused you of it and the fact that the 7hz has bad QC isn’t my point… I accused you of making outrageous and false statements of 100% failure rate within 6 months, which you just repeated.

However… since you neither seem to posses proficiency in logical thinking nor language ability, feel free to ignore my response as I will free to put you on the ignore list

Just to be precise in that matter: nymz and I didn’t speak about timeless QC: we were speaking about the moondrop QC problems on aria and starfield.

I read some QC issues on timeless in this very thread, yes, but nothing as widespread as the moondrop thing.
