Having had Stax e-stats as my main HPs for decades I’ve been on the hunt for the iem equivalent ever since I found iems by chance a few years back… here’s hoping this just might be in the ball park.

Only ever tried their iem at hifi shows many years ago and it didn’t leave the same lasting impression as their main HPs and was uncomfortable to boot if my addled memory serves.

But $629 pure beryllium VS $299 beryllium-coated…? Cmon now :\ I hope the pure doesn’t take away from the treble detail that FD5 has. No idea how it could possibly improve FD5 bass. Seems to be the same exact driver in both.

That is cheap when compared to the other 2 pure beryllium sets out there.

(Dunu Luna = 1700 usd & Final Audio A8000 = 2000 usd)
