So im thinking of getting a pair of closed headphones and i would like them to sound a bit like my aryas since i enyoj that sound. My budget is 1500-2000$
After actually listening to a lot of the headphones in that range, I can recommend the Fostex 610, Sony MDR Z1, Fostex 900, Neumann NDH 20, Audeze LCD XC. Though I do not like bright headphones, LCD2 closed sounded eq-ed to oblivion personally, and focal headphones feel like there’s laser drills trying to destroy my ears.
It’ll be hard to get the sound of an Arya in a closed back, and I honestly don’t know that it exists. I have not heard the Arya, but that expansive sound stage and height and size of presentation I’ve read/heard about is pretty singular to large driver open planars. However, I do have Focal Elegias, which are some of the most open sounding closed backs I’ve heard, and are very transparent to the recording. Other options in your price range, Grant_Cho mentions, only the LCD-XC is a planar. You could also look at the DCA Ether C Flow or Ether CX. I have the CX and enjoy them a lot. Very neutral, fairly open sounding, and super comfortable. The downside is somewhat mediocre dynamics.
