A lighter comfier LCD2 PF?

Yes. It will save you a bit of time and money and if you still decide to sell then you get a little bit back on it. I say get the normal not the carbon one. You can check but im pretty sure people weighed them and the difference is near negligable.

The carbon really isn’t worth the ask unless you really want to bling it out lol

Thanks for the advice everyone. I went ahead and purchased a new headband. $125 seems like a reasonable price to pay before I go on another wild goose chase (not that that option doesn’t have its own appeal). I’ll update after I get it and give it a shot.

I had zero problems with comfort using the new headband. Much better!

To me it is a night and day difference with the headband…Comfort improves drastically as well as weight to me felt like it was cut in half…

New headband arrived today. First impressions are good. I was very surprised at how easy it was to swap them out, literally 4 screws, and done in less than 5 minutes. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Congrats!
I was fortunate enough that my LCD-2 PF came to me with a less than 6mo old new style headband. All I have know is comfort, and blissful sound.

Meh, i seem to be the ONLY one that actually prefers the older style headband. I have both styles, took the new ones off, freshened up my old ones and much prefer the way the headphones sit properly on my head. No hotspots, better weight distribution And the headband sits squarely as opposed to the angle the Lighter one tries to take on.

Hey Man,

I see that you have (or had) the t60 Argons. How would you compare those to these?

I too loved the sound of the LCD 2f and hated the weight. So I sent them back. With that said, ZMF and most dynamics will not give you that planar sound that is enjoyable from the LCD2s. ZMF you are paying for the boutique craftsmanship more than the technical capabilities of the drivers. I just don’t think they will compete with a good planar driver and you end up paying much more anyways.

Maybe look at lighter planar options, not that their are many that also sound just as technically capable while being well built.
