The case looks sealed to me so shouldnt be a problem.
But if you are worried, remove the power cable and let it dry out overnight before using it.
actually you could see there are small openings at the sides
im worrying too much
thx for replying
Put it in a sealed bag (plastic bag works I guess) alongside silica gel packs if you are worried.
I assume you are worried about this part.
But the amount of liquid from a single glass shouldnt even reach up to that point.
yep as well as
i dunno if you could see but its not fully sealed and im unsure if those sides block outside substances from getting in
Well in this case the liquid shouldnt even reach above this part.
So it shouldnt have gotten in even if it was a gaping hole there.
Silica gel + sealed bag will solve any other issue though. Unless you havent turned it off and it is still in use right now.
it splashed though if you watched the video
i colored more parts where there seems to have small openings
the left front side was the only part the liquid splashed into
thx a lot for the replies and support
Did you turn it off and remove the power plug the instant after it happened?
yep i actually have my surveillence camera pointed at my desk at the time it happened thankfully and was able to track what happened
Then put it in a sealed bag with silica gel packs.
would you suggest to me unscrewing the back and opening to see if the liquid went in
if you are that worried then you could do that.
alright ill try
thx again
oh well i dont have the screwdriver for the screws
from the pic below doythink the liquid would reach the operating parts of the dac or would it just stay at the outlined parts
just realized if the liquid went in the middle openings and buttons then it wouldnt enter the operating parts as shown below
just some last pondering
what are your thoughts
As I said, just put it in a silica gel pack + sealed bag if you are worried and cant confirm by opening the case.
Instant oatmeal or instant rice has the husk broken during prep at the factory and those work as a terrific desiccant in a bag or box overnight. Regular kind doesn’t do anything more than leaving them out to dry.
Rice is actually not a good method to use as it may leave starch behind.
