Advice for wired IEM

I’m looking to buy wired IEM.

They have to be very comfortable, will use them while getting asleep with one ear on a pillow.

I will only use them at home with an amp and only to listen to music.

The music I listen to range from classical, jazz to heavy rock, hip hop, funk, reggae, pop…
Versatility would be a real plus.

My budget is around 100 $.

Any recommandations?

Is the price range with a profile shallow enough to sleep on, the Sennheiser IE200 is a good design. I’ve had the IE600 and they just differ in the number of chambers in them, same driver. Someone on Reddit posted a whole list of “sleepable” IEMs.

IE200, If you want to step up to what could be a possible end game IEM rip off the bandaid and buy the IE600

They are the same shape as the IE200.

The most comfortable and compact IEM I’ve ever put into my ears, and it sounds fantastic.

Yep, IE200. Definitely. Very small.

I disagree here.

Me too, same tech different driver completely, and I think it’s slightly different size too

As well as being chambered differently and different case material which will have some effect on the sound.

You can tell they are in the same family sound wise, and they all feel the same in your ears, but it’s a huge step up in overall sound going to the ie600. Which says a lot because the ie200 is fantastic.

Afaik, the entire IE lineup (200,300, 600 and 900 and even including their flagship momentum something 3 TWS) has the same driver, they differ with the shell only.

Start at 12.06 min

Various other reviews have started the same thing.

You don’t get the same single dynamic driver in the $119 as the $1,900.

They are the same technology but different.

Same way the new Meze105 is the same driver in the 109, but is plastic coated vs beryllium coated organic carbon composite. I was told this directly from Meze.

It’s the same here, same tech different component makeup and I’m pretty sure I read the size of the 200 is different from the 600 and 900

They call it their TrueResponse driver and they are all 7mm. No info on the diaphragm coating in specific, so perhaps that could be different but otherwise it is identical.

And that price different doesnt mean anything when it comes to the drivers, specially when it comes to DDs as they are all dirt cheap.

Thanks for the correction they are all 7mm across the lineup.

Shinheisser calls the ie200 driver a mini transducer on one page and states that it’s a 7mm on another. My mistake.

Aful Explorer is very comfy. It’s bassy so I’m not sure if that will work as versatile set.
Meze Alba is also pretty good fitting and small. I personally didn’t like it sound wise (I found it too smooth) but a lot of reviewers have praised it.

I purchased the Meze Alba at Canjam and I’m one of the folks that think they sound great. If say they are easily on par with the ie200, but have a nicer build and accessory pack. They normally cost around $150ish though.
