PS Loving my newish Bifrost (OG) ā¦Depth!
Great selections. I have seen the second video, amazing stuff. Will definitely check out the Decca video as well. She is another amazing talent. I love watching her work!
If my life ever slows down a little, Vivaldi is one of three composers I would like to do a deeper dive on. I want to learn more about the man, and then really go through his body of work. Right now I have 3 composers selected - Vivaldi, Mozart and Mendelssohn. This should be a very enjoyable project, but I just donāt have the time right now.
@Raptor168 Some ambitious listening ahead for you! FYI the Decca recording I referred to first is audio only, for which I use AMHDā¦ and itās on Spotify as well. I donāt have Qobuz so donāt know. Wikipedia has her interesting history, and I understand that chamber group includes a member of her family. I, too love researching composersā lives and what was going on historically at the time. I
feel it gives me a better sense of the what their music might express.
I agree the video is really goodā¦she is a very dynamic performer.
Enjoy your listeningā¦I certainly am these days!!
Feel free to ask me pointers on Vivaldi, Iāve done a deep dive (not done yet) during the pandemic and wow what a catalogā¦ I also read his biography 10 years or so ago.
PM me whenever
Edit: now Iām tryingto do a deep dive on Telemann but I have less time with a more demanding jobā¦
Had a craving for Italian, soā¦

Havenāt played this one for a while. Yuja is so amazingā¦this performance is quite dynamic, imo. She and Dudamelā¦that must have been some synergy!!https://music.amazon.com/albums/B00FGLNZX2?trackAsin=B00FGLO0RM&ref=dm_sh_597b-3575-786a-d931-84543

PS I just got a ticket to our fine area symphony this weekend. Mahler 5 !!
@dcofficehack WOW, thanks for this. Complex music, but simpler sounds, simpler times.
Love the . instruments!
Heard parts, will finish tomorrow.
Iāve been playing around with Amazonās dolby atmos recordings. For some it
works, others not so much. I do like that it provides more presence in general.
For Brahms fans, I found that this whole album (which is very well recorded
anyway) is available in dolby atmos as well! All 4 symphonies.
