My favorite Telemann works are the Paris Quartets
Pianos are hard to record. Someone did an excellent job on this one!
Had some time with this again today. He only wrote one, but there
is SO much beauty in it. Well played and well recorded.
Yesterday’s Jaquelin Du Pre’ /Yo-Yo Ma experience inspired me to find my Herbert von Karajan Beethoven CD set and play it on the bedroom system. CD1, Symphonies 1 and 2.
I’m using a new-ish little Sony Blu-Ray player that I got 2 years ago for the desktop system but never really used. I’m using it as a CD transport via S/PDIF digital coax to the M200 DAC and it’s phenomenal. Again, the Triangles are sounding amazing as mains for this room. For some reason the acoustics in these rooms are scary good. Incredible bonus! In case you missed it, here is the new bedroom system, better than ever. The player/transport is on the right. Way better than the ancient Toshiba unit I was using.
What is it about rainstorms and classical music? It’s just a nasty day here today, so I luxuriated in the bedroom and watched some amazing work.
These are new or current performances, so they are in 4K and it absolutely makes a big difference in overall enjoyment. This system does classical so well. ![]()
