Any other very fun headphones that can compare to Modhouse Argon Mk2?

I have only 2 pairs of headphone, Modhouse Argon Mk2 and Dt880 600 Ohm paired with Asgard and Modi, I’ve enjoyed both headphones although I now daily drive the Argon’s ever since I got them and barely use my Dt880’s. I’m looking for something that might be somewhat comparable yet different and fun like the Argon’s as I’m ultimately considering selling my Dt880’s and want to look into a few more headphones, I would like to try Sundara’s although I am unsure if they will satisfy me with their bass response and overall kind of neutral response. Love to hear what others think I should maybe invest in next.

I’ve not got my argons yet but based purely on what I’ve heard about them, I’d probably suggest a headphone like the audioquest nighthawk or the fostex trx00 as they are both fun oriented headphones. The hawks are one of my favourite headphones alongside my zmf atticus and have a wider soundstage with a bassy signature that can be tuned to your liking with the two sets of pads that are included. The trx00 are also very bassy headphones which are more intimate from what I have heard about them (I don’t own them personally but I have heard from a lot of people what they are like) they can also be Lawton modded with different wood cups etc to change the sound signature and are widely regarded as great fun headphones.

The only issue is that both headphones are discontinued so you have to look on the used market, the hawks are usually around $250-300 and the x00s are creeping up in value a bit now at closer to $500.

I also really like my sundaras and dt880s personally as I like their sound signatures etc so I keep mine around for certain things like gaming.

I agree with Kron.

Another headphone you can try is the Sivga Phoenix

Thanks for your input, The Argon’s do have a great sound stage although the Dt880’s definitely have the upper hand just my problem with them in comparison is they sound a little too neutral for my liking. I have looked into purchasing some hybrid or lambskin pads for them although I am unsure if this will change them enough, if the sound stage will lessen and will the bass be greatly increased? I looked into the nighthawks as you suggested and they seem to be almost exactly what I’m looking for. I am new to the audiophile world and probably don’t have the most keen ears for different sound signatures although I can say I don’t believe I’ll ever be selling my Argon’s.

I have also looked into LCD-2C’s along with Focal Elex’s and I’m fairly interested in trying those out as well, they seem to have fairly unique sound signatures that many people really enjoy.
