Well I’d say you nailed it, Sir. I dare say this is your daily drinker!

At the moment my daily drinker is something they call English Breakfast Blend #1. I always have a nice Earl Grey on offer as well. I have two, a beautiful Double-Bergomat and a Versailles Lavender Earl Grey that is incredible. As time has gone on, I have gathered a nice collection. I don’t mess with the herbal stuff and focus on mostly black teas, though I do have a nice Jasmine tea bag selection as well. I like having options!

I’m finding out that must haves for max enjoyment is a good electric kettle because a good cup starts with water that is at a good rolling boil. And this is going to sound weird, but I only drink from bone china now. Don’t ask me why or how - Tea tastes better when enjoyed from a bone china cup.

My favorite kettle is the Fellow Corvo, it’s absolutely worth.

I have been most in my life have been a coffee drinker, but I do miss those times when I was a young lad used to drink a lot of ginger tea for the improvement of my voice. Nowadays, I rarely get the opportunity to drink some tea again, so as a beginner when it comes to tea drinking, where should I start? And yes I like both drinking coffee and tea, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Do you want tea recs?
Do you need hardware recs?
What kind of tea do you like?

According to a tea alignment chart I borrowed from somewhere, coffee is nearly, certainly maybe philosophically, a tea in of itself.

Anything will do tbh. I am not even sure if Iced tea is considered a tea to some of you, but some recommendations might broaden my horizons as well, and avoid full on ignorance on these things.

^^^^ ANSWER ME!!! ^^^^

please…

When I think iced I immediately think Dragonwell green tea. Gyokuro may work, but I haven’t tried. Milky Oolong (Jin Xuan) can make a nice iced tea, it’s a sort of gateway tea for a lot of people branching out and exploring. I imagine “Oriental Beauty” oolong (Baihao/Dongfang Meiren) would be lovely as well.

Haven’t tried it either but given Dragonwell makes a solid iced tea, I imagine Silver Needle white could be nice as well. Could just be weird stick-straight shaped leaf associations. None of those should be too astringent or crazy, though Gyokuro can be pretty vegetal/umami.

Random edit: In case anyone feels like gatekeeping tea, here’s a mega compilation of research studies for the health benefits of tea. Can’t find the link for the full PDF anymore, though I do have it saved. Given the potential health benefits it’d be pretty crappy of anyone to judge others for how or why they consume tea. Life is too short, everyone should just do what they like that feels right for them. If that’s guzzling a bucket of cold brew yellow label Lipton a week, let’s gooo.

It’s funny because Dragonwell was my gateway into green tea.

I do prefer dragonwell or other similar green teas for iced tea compared to Oolong. I like Oolong hot better smh.

@K4sh1ma Green tea is easy to drink cold by just brewing it and forget it about it lol.
Otherwise, iced black tea can be very good.
I really like Keemun black tea from the brand Silk Road Teas.
My favorite black tea (hot) is Sun Moon Lake from Taiwan. I was lucky enough to try it over there at the Sun Moon Lake Antique Assam Tea Farm.

First verse:

I drink about 3 to 4 cups to tea everyday, am I addicted?

Please define “cup”. Is that with or without resteeps? :joy:

Probably, maybe not that badly though.

For me, during the week I do two a day. My “cups” are 11oz pours. on the weekends I will make a pot a day, which is about three “cups”.
