My recent hunt for replacing my extremely loved and sentimental ZS7’s was a very frustrating and painful journey. Then I found Riku on here who offered me a complimentary pair in exchange for buying some Rikubuds. Then I met a guy on another forum who also sold me a pair. I even sent $50 to most obvious scammer on Reddit out of pure desperation that there was even the slightest hope. In the end though now that I have replaced them and even had a backup pair…it feels damn good I must admit.
I have a new love for hunting down long discontinued cheap KZ’s.
I only know of one other pair of detachable cable KZ’s that’s impossible to find. It’s the ED16’s (which ironically have a ZS7 label on them) and I really want a pair.
Based of my studies, they were always regarded as pretty good KZ but never great KZ. It seems they never had the special edition appeal of the ZS7. That makes me wonder whether they’ll be harder to find since they didn’t have enough special appeal for most people to take care of, or easier to find since they were probably cheaper and more mass produced.
Sorry for the wall of text but basically…if you have an old pair of ED16’s laying around, I’ll pay whatever you want lol.
