they have so many tube amps now it’s quite amazing. anyone know anything about their combo DAC/Amp units?

I can probably afford the 03S or 10 if they’re worth the money…

I’ve been considering one for awhile but haven’t pulled the trigger yet… all I can really contribute is the 03s is a full tube and the 10 is a hybrid so that may help you choose between the two

The TA-05 for 100€ looks interesting to me. Even if it is a hybrid.

I’m getting used to my TA-10, as I only got it a couple days ago. I can say that I have been using it a hell of a lot more then my XD-05. I find, for whatever reason, with certain songs, there’s a very slight buzzing in the right channel at louder volumes with the 05 when using my 4XX, but not the case with my TA-10. It doesn’t persist with other headphones, so maybe my particular 4XX and 05 don’t get along.

Now I want to check that with my xd-05+ but I havent noticed it paired with the 4xx… is there a noticable tube sound with the ta-10?

I haven’t thrown IEMs at them yet, or my Porta Pros. Just got done taking a test, so it’s not fresh in my mind. Give me a few hours, and I’ll do some hard comparison listening and get back to you.

I’m uploading an uncut video of me going over the two of them, and my impressions. I do appologize ahead of time as the video is alittle long.
TLDR: Yes, I do find that the TA-10 does give tubeyness, not as much with the 4XX as with the 990 Pros, and not at all with the K550(but I wouldn’t expect that with something so easy to drive). All the same, I like the TA-10 better then I like the XD-05.

That’s true, though I’m not always certain about my verbage being correct, not to mention that I could be perceiving things incorrectly. I don’t have the ear for identifying frequencies, rather then particular instruments or effects.

Hey im considering the ta-10 or the new model the ta-10r and im wanting to know how well the ta-10 plays with dt990 pro’s that i own the 250 ohm version. Im trying to find out if the ta-10r is worth it over the ta-10.

For anyone that is interested the xduoo ta-10r was available on drop for $270 but now it has sold through. The regular price is $319 it was a good deal i hope it comes back on drop or it goes on sale soon so i can purchase it.
