the fx are pretty much the same, should work pretty good. but if you are willing to be patient. you will be rewarded. save for around 100$ US amp first, one of the ones mon mentioned or better yet a 200$ish amp and then you will be ready for any headphones.

thats mean ifi zen dac dan drive r70x using that 35 dollar balanced cable(because the stock cable is to long for my pc usage haha) ?

If it is actually a balanced cable then yes I think you could get by

IMO it moreso focuses on the dac aspect and the amp isnā€™t as good in there

I think if you wanted to add on a more powerful amp (you would not need the balanced cable anymore), something like the topping a50 or a30, schiit magni 3+, monolith liquid spark, jds atom, would work well

I did find this topping a30 that can properly drive the r70x. You can use the zen dac as the dac. This would be about 97 USD correct?

yes around that, is that a good amp? because someone sell this secondhand for 51 dollar.
and if i buy this i dont need to get balance cable right?

its a really good amp for the price. and overall a quality amp. 51 is a win =)

edit: yes no balanced required

Ah thatā€™s a good deal actually, and would give more power to your r70x, I would choose that over the balanced cable as that is more powerful and I wouldnā€™t be concerned about running out of power with that amp

I would personally grab the topping a30 and keep the zen dac imo

yes keep the zen, its a fine dac. and the a30 is a fine amp

Hi im refering to the yt comment as well. There isnt much point in getting a custom 4.4 balanced. R70X sounds decent off smartphones and the zen dac. Sure the soundstage will be a tad small underpowered but it still sounds good.

IMO itā€™s pretty equivalent to running a 600 on a phone, which sounds ok imo but you can get way more with proper amplification

If i using topping a30 still can i use bassboost from zen dac?

yes, it works through the pre-amp outs as well.
