Atom+D10 vs Dx3pro

Hello, i currently own hd58x and going to buy elex soon.I don’t have a source and just want to pick the best dac and amp without exceeding budget (around 200) It doesn’t matter to me seperate or amp/dac.What would you suggest ? I think atom+d10 and dx3pro best for the price but i couldn’t find a comparison between two.I would be glad if someone does this

So personally I would prefer the atom + d10 (or the newer e30 if you can fit it in budget). It would be more flexible in the future, and imo also outperform the dx3 pro in sound. The dx3 pro would have more features but imo the sound quality goes to the stack. The atom is a cleaner amp with more refinement than the dx3 pro amp, and I think the d10 just barely edges out the dx3 pro in terms of sound (the e30 would be a greater improvement)

Hmm,but if i use atom with elex,do you think it will sound good and don’t need any replacement?

I think there is room for improvement in the future, but personally I think you would be wanting to spend around the 500 range for the amp to get to there, the atom is a great amp and imo will work no problem with the elex, there is a performance void that tends to happen with amps from 200-450 imo. If you did want to upgrade, you could consider getting something like a asgard 3 or archel 2.5 pro but it wouldn’t be night and day over the atom (but it would be an improvement)

My next purchase will be atom then, looks like a value pick

Doesn’t the DX3Pro still have an output impedance of 10ohms? If so, that would negatively affect lower impedance dynamics (<100ohm). The HD58X at 150ohm impedance should be fine on that combo though. Based on pure ampage, the Atom is better than the DX3Pro.

Correct, this is an issue with most of toppings amps actually
