I donāt consider my self an outright bass head unless preferring Harmon target bass is considered bass head.
I 'm also into bass more than treble though. I donāt prefer bright headphones over bassy headphones.
Iāll have to try a 3db to 4db bass shelf on the lcd2c. That should bring it more in line with the Harmon target bass response.
I have around +10dB bass boost for both the 2C and the X, that is why i consider myself a basshead. I dont trade technicalities for bass though, that is why i love the X, i can have superb bass + all the Xās qualities.

As you say , you still have high quality with the lcdX.

Wanted to know what the inner felt mod youāve done to the outer area of the driver. Iām planning on getting a set next week the LCD2 Classics, gonna do typical fazor mod, are the backs of these steel? and do they affect the sound? iāve seen sometimes the metal backs on planars add resonance and other issues
