feel free to delete this but i just saw the video from head fi youtube Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview - YouTube
looks very impressive especially the freq response compared to lcd X and 800s, although it is 4500 dollars. i would think this could be the new cult classic over the next few years like the current crop of LCD headphones, havent heard anyone talking about it even though its the first new headphone in many years.

I wouldn’t call a 4500$ flagship cult material… The thing should be flawless for that amount.

i mean in the way the verite closed is sort of cult in a way even though most people cant afford it. idk maybe itll fade away over time but i think its the best looking and well made headphone they’ve ever made. we will see. some say its a bit bright.

the FR is interesting…showing itself to be uite a neutral headphone…not the dark sound that Audeze is usually known for.
yes, distortion is quite good as well under 0.5 the whole range but still not even close to the new stealth distortion and its more money but ive heard the stealth can feel lacking in slam so we will see.

Love ZMF headbands, but this headphone for my head is easily one of the most comfortable headphones I have worn only maybe the Empyrean/Elite is more comfortable. I thought the clamp force was a bit tight at first now its just right. Bigger heads may find it too tight. Also zero hotspot. So far so good!

It’s either a complement or an insult! Perhaps you need to introduce some spicy takes or measurements into your reviews to get on the avoid list.

Well, any regular viewers should know that I’ve claimed:
- DACs make a difference
- Amps make a difference
- Cables make a difference
- Measurement chasing does not guarantee good sound
