I made this post so we can discuss this dac/amp combo. Who uses it? How do you like it?

I am using one with my Aeon closed and sometimes I feel like it’s just too noisy. At 12 o’clock on high gain I get distortion in the bass region and I also have just random noises sometimes like the dac stopped to think for a millisecond. Do you have this too?

On the other hand, I think the amp overall sounds very nice with a good amount of warmth, sparkle and width to it at the cost of some attack, speed and transience compared to some other amps I’ve paired it with in the past

It’s a pretty nice way to get into r2r and have lots of power (good for the aeons), but I find the amp is noisy and also a bit compressed compared to other amps

Also those random issues with the dac can be a downside of r2r (I can’t think of what it’s called off the top of my head)
