I was just looking for getting some mobility with some kind of BT fix for my IEMs or TWS and voila you start reviewing them haha. Check Edifier and Soundcore. Soundcore got popular for their ANC BT headphones that rivaled Sony for far less money (never owned anything from them), but their tws also should be good. On the other hand I owned Edifier for many years and still have BT headphones which for the money sound decent. They have planar and dd+ba sets StaxSpirit S10 and don’t remember the DD BA it was neo something. Also the one you had on the uboxing Soundpeats has H3 as option in the same price as the one you had. Looking for tws around forums and reddit something as Final Audio Tonalite was recommended but it is around 300$ which I am not spending for sure.

You got the latest nothing flagship

The one with the push to talk

Aluminum body, that thing got FU bass

I have the nothing ear the previous flagship.

Three cons with my model

  • Ear sensor goes wack, you can’t push the haptic button (it’s a pressure sensor)
  • The case lid is big and hinge is small, the thing opens from half the body than the top like airpods, also the hinge is a bit weak imo.
  • LDAC, the phone gotta be on your body, even try to bring your elbow in the way, the stream gonna hick/buffer.

Other than that, amazing product.

Edit: nothing x app for the ear is amazing, the community even made a web app for windows, i might be remembering wrong but the eq setting might be stored onboard.

Sony is actually pretty transparent about this.

Right driver is the XM5 and the left one is XM4.

Maybe also consider comparing them to a iem + tws adapter solution.
Like the TRN BT20 Pro.

I have the 20 XS and the battery life in it is insane.

Avoid the 30 Pro though.

Because I have experience with Edifier and like planars would give a try to one of their planars stax spirit s10 or neobuds planar, but their neo buds 3 pro is also interesting with knowels BA and DD. Although definitely would choose from the two planars just because it’s not so often seen as I can remember in tws world.

Maybe pick up a samsung (they own harman now). They also use dual DD like that.

the 4 series should be out this year though i think.

Nothing ear (2024) version based on my usage was good, the bass quality was great but it’s bass quantity was not as much as one’s from Sony and and OnePlus.
Not sure how the new Nothing ear 3 stacks up tho.

I guess for the other models you’ll be one of the first to have a proper take on sound quality with songs and other stuff mentioned.

Bruh i got same model, how, i thought the bass boost was more than enough, never knew sony or OnePlus had more bass.

Maybe try this. The first and second one (came out the same time iirc) was the first tws with xMEMS driver afaik. Have not seen a graph of this third one though.

Hmm, I was thinking just the opposite. New Canpur is perfect example. No waste on a box or cable that isn’t going to be ā€˜used’ for anything but taking up valuable space.

That graph… looks like a subwoofer driver crossed under 80Hz.

Edit: The mems driver being mounted like that, maybe it is not a driver to be affected any magnetic fields unless I’m wrong, cos that close to a powerful magnet dd, its supposed to have some kind of shielding like MU foil or something at the very least…

I just saw the graphs of these sets for the first time and I can say that, the bass glide in the OnePlus buds pro 3 squig sound very much so… Much more full in the 100-400Hz region.

I don’t think Ima change sets anytime soon… Even if it stops working I’ll get the same model again.

:100:% If you’re deep into this hobby the last thing you need is a manufacture’s boutique/designer cable tax, get the fuck outta here.

Oh tips too, If you’re willing to spend $1k+ on a set, I’d like to think you’ve already spent a fare few $’s on tips and have a dragons hoard already :man_shrugging:

Just the set please :folded_hands:
