Bad Guy Good Audio 4/4 (The Final Chapter)

I meant the shipping box, not the IEM packaging.

This would be a great option. Probably to many willing cable tax payers around to actually do it I’m afraid.

i don’t think it is possible to avoid a JH audio 4 cable in box if you getting a JH audio set unlike other iems, the simple 2-pin or mmcx…
tips i think at minimum, one pair the iem was tuned on, the multiple sizes for that particular model tip only

I decided against TWS iems. As I already have a bunch of wired iems I decided to use those via a Bluetooth adapter (fiio utws5)

I also had a the ifi go pod air and their sound quality crapped all over the fiio but the ui and QC was poor and they eventually died so I’m sticking with the UTWS5.

Im stuck on moondrop little black and kz bluetooth neckbands lol

I might look into the fiio tws ones down the line

I recommend the TRN models over Fiio. My UTWS3 is ewaste now after not touching it for like a year it does not turn on anymore, even then the battery life in it is vastly worse than what is in the TRN BT20 XS.

Cant say ive had any issues with my UTWS5’s but given how cheap the TRN’s are i might give them a go as a spare but even they get mixed reviews.
Its a real shame the ifi go pod’s failed as the sound quality was way better then the Fiio.
Im tempted to get another set just because of the sound but they aint cheap !

Ok, but look at all those other things Americans are also strongly in favor of:

Early in person voting stating two weeks before Election Day

Making Election Day a National Holiday

Returning voting rights to felons after they’ve served their sentences

Automatically registering all citizens to vote

Allowing mail in votes

Registration at the polls on Election DaY

Those would all be meaningful changes, with 58-80% of people in favor of it based on that poll.

Let’s get those too. It’s telling to me that the hyper fixation is on photo ID, probably the least consequential issue when it actually comes to election fraud.

And if the federal government is going to step in and dictate that requirement, I want to see then provide the funds to make it realistic (especially for people living too far from government offices suit transportation and too limited hours of operation).

Reading about the SAVE Act, it feels like it would be a major pain in the ass to again solve a mostly nonexistent problem. The burden it’s going to place on documentation, staff to verify, etc doesn’t seem worth it based on the number of actual issues. Not to mention the unintended consequences (I.e people whose names on their birth certificates don’t match up with their current names).

Some examples of what could be to come:

According to the U.S. Department of State, examples of primary citizenship evidence include a birth certificate, a U.S. passport, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, a Certificate of Citizenship, or a Naturalization Certificate. (While Real IDs are often assumed to be a reliable proxy for citizenship, they do not definitively establish citizenship.)

Although at least one of these documents are in theory available to most citizens, not all voters have them readily available. According to recent studies:

Additionally, birth certificates often lack information that matches a person’s current identity. For instance, someone who has changed their name through marriage or court order may need to present a third document (such as a marriage certificate) to join their proof of citizenship (e.g., birth certificate) with their proof of identity (e.g., driver’s license), further decreasing the likelihood that a voter will have the appropriate documentation on hand to successfully register.

Even if voters were to provide documentary proof of citizenship, verifying the authenticity of those documents is an inherently complex task, one that election officials and motor vehicle departments often do not have the resources or training to perform.

Kansas offers a case study of how a documentary proof requirement would likely play out in practice. Before the law took effect, noncitizen registration in Kansas was exceedingly rare, accounting for about 0.002% of registered voters. After adoption, the documentary proof of citizenship requirement prevented roughly 31,000 eligible citizens, or 12% of all applicants, from registering to vote. In short, the law prevented far more citizens from registering to vote than noncitizens.

From https://bipartisanpolicy.org/article/five-things-to-know-about-the-save-act/

For what it’s worth, sounds like the Senate is more cautious about passing this:

McConnell argued passing the legislation could amount to “laying the groundwork for a leftwing election takeover” if Democrats retake the White House and Congress, as it would “make it easier … to use more sweeping mandates to carry out a complete federal takeover of American elections” in the future. The measure also overrides states’ authority to conduct their own elections, he argued.

Just fundamentally, I don’t like the idea of making voter harder for hundreds of thousands of citizens in order to stop the “problem” of non-citizens voting when the number of cases of non-citizens voting is so minuscule. Especially when it seems to mostly be a precursor to a desired Federal takeover of elections.

Looks like the embargo is up for the new sony tws.

For reference

Looks like more treble than the XM5 otherwise similar I think? Hard to tell without the graph in the same pic.

Looks pretty similar to the 5.
My wife is friends with an engineer at Sony who said it’s not much of an upgrade so keep what she has. The next actual upgrade will be the 7

My wife doesn’t have a Sony:laughing:

I got a set of 4’s as a pre-order bonus with the 15R phone.
It’s been lying on my desk for about 2 weeks now… Maybe I should give them a listen.

I have one the older Soundpeats sets with mems. (Capsule 3 Pro+). Didn’t have any issues with peaks, but… I mostly use that set outside without doing any critical listening. But with a large chunk of my library being punkrock, I would expect to hear those peaks.

Looks like I have some of my own TWS testing to do  .

I didn’t have any problems until the deck mixed effects in a lot of hip hop I got pretty fatigued after about 30 minutes

I m happy to give my opinion with my specific library :books:
My community is not so interested in TWS. I’m going to have to put in the time and effort to woo wireless people over to my ghetto edits and repetitive citations of the same stuff every vid.
How many folks on the spectrum are into TWS?
Ima find out

When all is said and done, gear takes a backseat to the truly important things in life. Such an adorable doggo.

I’m pretty sure there’s people out there interested. I mean, Flossy Carter does 1 hour+ reviews of all sorts of things including TWS and he draws them in. I like Flossy’s reviews, he’s definitely real like you are (and has an adorable co-host in the form of his cat, White Shoes). If the info quality is there, the people will come if they know it exists.
