I really want one of those but I honestly only want one if I can get the gold flake cups lol. I was planning on buying one forever and I guess just missed the drop of the early version with the gold flake and it made me not want one anymore lol.

What exactly does bass violence mean?
I know you but these are the words that cause folks to spend money and feel hustled
Bass…violence

I’ll PayPal you $2000 USD if it can do this
I’m being completely serious btw

EDIT
Kedra used to be a Patron of mine. I asked about cables and this set of headphones. Idr any reply about the headphones. Great idea but open back is not going to be very violent but I’m imagining violence and my financial offer still stands. :call_me_hand:

If you want bass, you can always ask Pud to cook up something.

I can respect how his projects are essentially a big middlefinger toward any ā€˜audiophile’ that take themselves too seriously.

Ah, man, when it comes in I’ll remit back. He’s still finishing production of them. But, primarily, I was quoting Zeos Eris headphones and how those were some of the bassiest headphones I’d heard until the Draupnir.

But they’re basically like the Duality of headphones. And, when I rolled to the Dekoni pads, it literally felt like my head was shaking, like the headphones were shaking.

I put on some Weeknd/Kendrick Lamar - Pray for Me and it hit hard.

But, yeah, I’ll remit back the moment I have them in hand.

Take an A4 paper and fold it in half
Put over the pads
Crank it up
Use Car audio subwoofer test tracks
It’s not possible to cheat since as soon as the drivers start distorting the ability to displace air diminishes immediately

This was a big disappointment after all the claims of violence and rattling eye balls

I respect his game

After the Beyer video I realized we are no further than 8 years ago.
Those Beyer are fucking garbage :wastebasket: and they would have been in 2016 too

Progress has left the building so I’m sliding in

Most physical, head rattling bass I’ve experienced so far is the SJY Horizon Closed Carbon with a fat ass bass shelf. Still shocks me as someone that daily drove a modded HE6se v2 from speaker amps with a 10db bass shelf for years lol.

-10db Pre-amp needs speaker amps???

Pre boost looks good

Yeah they’re crazy solid. That extension on my set has a bit of a spike that I had to address, but other than that they don’t really need anything to be a fantastic set imo. If that spot doesn’t exist on other sets or doesn’t bother people they’re fine as is. Crazy stage size for a closed back, but I guess they also don’t isolate that well. They seem to take a nearly infinite shelf without any issues so the sky is the limit for EQ and they’re really really well suited for games with how bloat resistant they are from boomy explosions and shit and how well they image.

Viking Weave Draupnir - This is Skedra’s monstrosity of a headphone

Any graphs of this set that is in the final stages?

If being a bass monster is your sales pitch or the people hyping it for you

God damn son. Drop that bass
….graph

Jeffrey is awesome. His new one, Zeph, is probably the best build quality and most refined sound he’s done.

He’s working on an e-stat as well and I’m trying to convince him to do a basshead set.

I’d love for a basshead estat set. The Shangri La Jr. with a pad swap actually take a shockingly big bass shelf with zero issues whatsoever….but it takes those pads and EQ…still to date the hardest and fastest punching and most accurate and articulate bass I’ve heard is from the STAX SR-003 mkii with the CES-A1 closed back kid and 0.11g of cotton in each side, EQ’d to my target. Only downside is they’re a borderline in ear so there was just no physicality to it, but it’s crazy value for like $300.

Btw, Have you ever heard the Denon AH-D7200? For me it’s the only closed back I ever held on to. (And the best out of the 3 from this line)
Wouldn’t call it a real basshead set, but it’s warm and pleasant for my ears (the cups are small though… might be about the same as that Beyer). It can keep up pretty well with my Offspring albums but drops the ball on fast stuff like Dragonforce.

With some digging I think you can snatch these up new for abt 500-600 USD.

I bought those when I was doing the bass testing and loved them. They were bought in the middle of the process so they were sold to buy another set.
Loved them though and comfort was also fantastic

I always thought it was a bit weird that not more people talk about this set. Looks great, feels great, sounds great. Build is good. Not stupidly expensive. Reputable company etc.

They haven’t lost their country
America :united_states: on the other hand?

Weird how that works

They came out when spike shrill monsters were the rage. Senn HD800 and Beyer T1 which both sucked without mods

Denon was bassy and muddy according to reviews at the time
I’d take the Denon 7 and 5 over both of those treble blasters

That dude is one of the most scheming scam artists I’ve ever seen and it’s so obvious he has a handler. That dude just radiates stupid. To the point where if you can’t tell he’s an absolute moron, it’s because you are too. I feel like if California had all its corruption fixed overnight, that they’d go from being the worlds 4th strongest economy to somewhere in the middle of the world. I wholeheartedly believe California and New York are funneling a full half or more of their economy into just a couple pockets.
