@hawaiibadboy Have you tried the Tape Pro’s on the PowerDAC V2? Have ordered the Tape’s and contemplation ordering a PowerDAC V2 for them?
If you’re worried about power, the original ones were so easy to drive that it actually annoyed me that I couldn’t use more power. Any shitty phone could power them properly, let alone any amp
From what I’ve seen, the sensitivity specs are the same.
They are pretty easy to drive.
Okay, Thanks.
The powerDAC is freakin excellent and with the app on a phone is crazy cool but maybe not needed
Yeah, i saw the video and thought that would be cool to play with.
Have also the Gold Planar GL20 on the same order as my Tape Pro - was thinking the PowerDAC could be fun with them?
Oh the PEQ on the app is amazing. The cost and performance plus that app is great value. Great gear.
Hoping this bad boy is good
Are your diagrams for different IEMs all based on the same idea of what resolution/bass/value etc are or do you just compare two?
For instance, it says here that the tape pro has better resolution than the tape. Now, seeing as the tape pro has come to the end of the heptagon, does that mean it is the most resolving an IEM could possibly be or just that it is more resolving than the tape?
It would seem one needs a standardised ideal for the heptagon as the final points should be the best it could possibly be. I can see you have said the tape pro has good value but is that really the best value possible? That is what the end of the graph should mean.
You are implying that the tape pro is the most resolving an IEM could possibly be with this graph, is that true?
It relates to the included items. If you scrolled up just…a…bit… more you’d see it with a set more resolving, the Moondrop Illumination.
So your final question coulda been skipped
Cheers, I just wanted clarification
No prob. this is just an expression of an opinion
Wait so the PRO isn’t a crazy V-shaped set anymore?
No, not like the last version
They cut down that mountain at 3.5Khz
