Pop those bastards into your ears asap
Moondrop right now.
Nice seeing you were able to get your hands on a Kato to review, seriously a dick move what they did before, let the market and buyer decide!
Also went to the audio store and tested some gear, and I completely understand now first hand that âexpensive =/= betterâ Tried a few kilobuck iems and headphones like the Andromeda and a bunch more and personally they were alright, but none of them blew my mind like when I first tried the Oracle
Itâs business.
I liked and recâd Kanas PRO, KxxS, Starfield so itâs a safe bet I will enjoy this.
If I was sure i wouldnât I woulda skipped.
Any trash job would be so cringe on my part it would be damaging.
I am a prickâŚbut not stupid.
Yeah, thatâs true. But most of us on here know that you only review/make videos on select gear that deserves a shout out(hopefully most of us know) even if itâs not 100% your cup of tea and not bash on stuff. Thereâs enough of that on the internet
If this set underwhelms like Dunu Falcon ProâŚit wonât even get a video.
Plays Rock & Roll like ass. Hip Hop too.
Dunu will get a vid to warn off folks who share my library.
Bloated bass guitar? NahâŚno
This one took me a while to learn itâs all about your personal preferences and money doesnât necessarily buy that. I kinda found that out the hard way when I got my hekv2, I knew it was a very good headphone but I didnât have the source gear for it and it was a headphone more suited to music with natural instruments which is like 5-10% of what I listen to, I borrowed a friendâs Clear and absolutely loved it (even after only a week) it just fit my hip hop and electronic tastes way more.
Iâve had to be more careful with what I go for since then (uk resale market is very unpredictable) Iâve had a few IEMs that are around the ÂŁ1k - 2k range (new) and I know for sure that I wonât be satisfied with sets that donât have a DD in general, I just need the slam/rumble that comes with a DD. Well I hope, Iâve not had a higher end set with one yet and my only hybrid experience wasnât great (FH3).
Yeah, Iâm lucky I have access to a pretty decent audio store where I can try pretty much all their gear from headgear to source gear. I spent like 5 hours at the shop testing various headphones and iems, but Iâm gonna go back soon to test more thoroughly and have a much better and complete set up and take my time testing each bit of gear. Most of them were pretty alright, but I guess I got super lucky with my Oracle blind buy
Loving the bling on the Arya. Really nice!
Did you review the Dethonray Dtr1 plus yet?
No, have not done that video yet.
I wish places near me had a better selection of iems than just CFA and Audeze, the UK market is way more speaker focussed so it makes it hard to get good iems locally.
Yeah, I mean they donât have a extensive collection when it comes to headphones and iems, but decent enough from reputable brands
headphones: Audeze, Sennheiser, Focal, DanClark, Stax, Hifiman, Rall Requisite, Abyss, Audiotechnica, Sony
IEMs: Fiio, 64 Audio, Eymotic, Violectric, Empire Ears, Campfire Audio, Flipears
They donât have all the models, but a decent enough selection, plus like I said you can test out, mix and match different source gear too.
Overall itâs a nice shop with a good enough collection for someone to dive into the hobby and will probably find something good and get experienced enough to start blind buying from online
Crin said Pre 2021 sounds different from 2021 Annilhator model, maybe gen.1 and gen.2 hasnt different name but different FR graph.
Thanks
Dark Sky is not my thing
