Nice seeing you were able to get your hands on a Kato to review, seriously a dick move what they did before, let the market and buyer decide!

Also went to the audio store and tested some gear, and I completely understand now first hand that “expensive =/= better” Tried a few kilobuck iems and headphones like the Andromeda and a bunch more and personally they were alright, but none of them blew my mind like when I first tried the Oracle

It’s business.
I liked and rec’d Kanas PRO, KxxS, Starfield so it’s a safe bet I will enjoy this.
If I was sure i wouldn’t I woulda skipped.
Any trash job would be so cringe on my part it would be damaging.

I am a prick…but not stupid.

Yeah, that’s true. But most of us on here know that you only review/make videos on select gear that deserves a shout out(hopefully most of us know) even if it’s not 100% your cup of tea and not bash on stuff. There’s enough of that on the internet

If this set underwhelms like Dunu Falcon Pro…it won’t even get a video.
Plays Rock & Roll like ass. Hip Hop too.

Dunu will get a vid to warn off folks who share my library. :notes:
Bloated bass guitar? Nah…no :man_facepalming:

This one took me a while to learn  it’s all about your personal preferences and money doesn’t necessarily buy that. I kinda found that out the hard way when I got my hekv2, I knew it was a very good headphone but I didn’t have the source gear for it and it was a headphone more suited to music with natural instruments which is like 5-10% of what I listen to, I borrowed a friend’s Clear and absolutely loved it (even after only a week) it just fit my hip hop and electronic tastes way more.

I’ve had to be more careful with what I go for since then (uk resale market is very unpredictable) I’ve had a few IEMs that are around the £1k - 2k range (new) and I know for sure that I won’t be satisfied with sets that don’t have a DD in general, I just need the slam/rumble that comes with a DD. Well I hope, I’ve not had a higher end set with one yet and my only hybrid experience wasn’t great (FH3).

Yeah, I’m lucky I have access to a pretty decent audio store where I can try pretty much all their gear from headgear to source gear. I spent like 5 hours at the shop testing various headphones and iems, but I’m gonna go back soon to test more thoroughly and have a much better and complete set up and take my time testing each bit of gear. Most of them were pretty alright, but I guess I got super lucky with my Oracle blind buy

I wish places near me had a better selection of iems than just CFA and Audeze, the UK market is way more speaker focussed so it makes it hard to get good iems locally.

Yeah, I mean they don’t have a extensive collection when it comes to headphones and iems, but decent enough from reputable brands

headphones: Audeze, Sennheiser, Focal, DanClark, Stax, Hifiman, Rall Requisite, Abyss, Audiotechnica, Sony

IEMs: Fiio, 64 Audio, Eymotic, Violectric, Empire Ears, Campfire Audio, Flipears

They don’t have all the models, but a decent enough selection, plus like I said you can test out, mix and match different source gear too.

Overall it’s a nice shop with a good enough collection for someone to dive into the hobby and will probably find something good and get experienced enough to start blind buying from online
