Hi HBB.
not sure if this is the place to ask but if you still have a set of the Timeless, any chance you could remove the grills and filters and re-graph it?
Im not normally a fan of modding sets but this came about by accident so I’ve been running mine unfiltered pretty much since i got them and they sound stellar but have always wondered if it was just my imagination or if there was a measurable difference with the filters/grills removed.

Sure, I can do that this weekend, :beers:

Hi new to forum here but HBB long follower on YT. Bought Olina waiting for delivery…currently enjoying 7hz due to his rec. Can you tell which version of 7hz you removed grill is it blue filter as mine or initial black filter…thanks.

I have both versions but removed the filter on the OG black filter version.
I’ll probably remove the filter on the blue version too at some point but as they are a spare pair they’re not in use at the moment.

Cheers. Much appreciated…seems my ears are working correctly :grinning:
More “air” and extension up top which is what I’m hearing.

Hello sir, Excited for Olina thanks.

1.Will removing filter on timeless work the same for 2nd gen. white blue filter.

  1. So filters only tuned for high frequency as i can see no chang to other frequency.

  2. How to know if this is good…will it cause more fatigue due to more air?

Thanks.

alert: this is a useless post

I’m listening to the Wagakki Band Tokyo Singing album with my MEST MKII… well, must say I got goosebumps  simply perfect, perfect speed, perfect sub-bass, perfect treble… just perfect

you have been alerted this was useless, but just wanted to share

No idea but can’t see why not unless the gen2 version is different somehow

Correct though the bottom end seems to “breathe” a bit better and has a bit more impact

  2. How to know if this is good…will it cause more fatigue due to more air?
That will depend entirely on your tolerance to high frequencies.

Aye :+1:…same as with my Z1R’s…

Nice to kick back and listen and not really bother about other sets :man_in_lotus_position:…sources are another thing though

yeah sometimes it’s good to just sit back and enjoy the music without thinking “what will be my next IEM?”

I also removed the filter and foam from my Timeless, and I also think that improves them. ups the clarity and reduces some bass/mid bloat. but I do think it made the treble a bit more harsh. Overall, worthwhile adjustment I think.

Shit now I’m tempted to take the filters off my timeless and then just try different bore sized tip openings if needed to reduce treble peaks in the case that the iem becomes too harsh…
That HBB graph of the timeless without fillers shows great extension in the highs that I feel I must listen to

Just received my set and i’m thoroughly enjoying them. However I did find the gold XS module a bit too thick and warm sounding for my liking almost to the point where the tracks sounded a bit congested. Went with the silver XS module instead which aired them out nicely. The amount of bass the Xenon 6 can spit out even at low volumes is quite impressive.
