wow, first time I have seen dip switches actually make that noticeable changes…usually they are more gimmicky with minimal changes.

Hey @Rikudou_Goku , do you know what the difference is between IEC-60318-4 and IEC-711? Syncertech uses the former, and his graphs look like what I had imagined (~5 dB changes whenever a switch is turned on).

60318-4 is just the standard itself. its not the coupler.
the IEC711 is a coupler that follows that 60318-4 standard.

Hmmm ok, in that case, I don’t know how HBB and Crin graphs look similar to each other but not to Syncertech’s. Weird…
Still confused about this too. Maybe when I get mine, I’ll send to @nymz or @Tonytex_Teixeira and ask them to measure as well. Too small a sample size to know what’s happening.
yeah, they might not be using the 711 coupler, but another 60318-4 compliant coupler…but even then it shouldnt have the opposite effect.

I thought same. It’s not just a subtle tilt to treb or what I usually see, the treb profiles are all clearly different.

yeah, the biggest changes are in the treble region, even for the bass and mid switches. Do you hear any difference with bass switch ON?

I do, or the treb is not as prominent = more bass
