The Planar wars are really heating up! I love it more competition forces the hand of these manufacturers to put some effort in and we all benefit from it. I love it!
The only problem is, finding money to pay for all these sets

I will read but when you get the Muse please review it . I am close to making a buying decision and would very much like your input. Thanks!
To all those that recommended the Serial what a great call. I canāt say it tops the Canon or Hekili at this price point as Iāve only listened to it for about an hour. But, so far what Iām hearing its definitely great. Love the bass hits and drops. Canāt believe how satisfying they are. Too $horts - Just Another Day is pure bliss.
Trebles not exactly bad on these but, could be lacking for some. For me I find it to be enough and definitely never borders fatiguing. Probably not the best choice if treble is your thing though. Seems well suited for a lot of a lot older hiphop. Also, really digginā some older punk tracks from Dag Nasty and The Dead Milkmen.
U18s purchase has my buyers remorse at level 1000 on a scale of 1 to 10. Man this thing is veiled. It really messes up my brain when trying to work out.
Donāt get me wrong, the u18s does some things really well, but for the price itās way overpriced and thereās some things that just sounds off. Not to mention it sounds veiled at times. I canāt believe they released this at this price with so much competition.
Seems like the xenns up is going for the same type of thick warm sound without sounding veiled?
Maybe you could do a review comparing u18s to xenns up?
Speaking of the T3+, I just recommend them to a buddy of mine for his first IEM. He said he loves it so far. Passing on the knowledge felt really good I have to say. Random I know, just felt like sharing
T3+ just hits different for something thatās $50 sometimes
U18 is a f****** joke of a money grab
U12t sounds better and Iām not even a fan of U12t
$3000 for that
1st time I got super pissed at buying an IEM
Yes they have u18t and u18s. I bought the u18S. I feel like a total jackazz. Iām here thinking all the iems or anything i could have done with the money. If it sounded awesome, i would be ok, but it sounds off and very veiled for some reason. It throws off my workout my brain tries to correct or distinguish whatās off sounding and why it sounds veiled.
Also sounds like thereās pressure build up.
I will never blind buy a 64 iem again unless you recommend or i hear it first. Neither is likely to happen and it will probably be very overpriced anyway.
Hoping you compare the xenns up to the u18s as their going after the same type of sound. Warm and relaxed treble.
Yup thatās exactly how i feel after buying u18s. Also just sounds like theyāre using outdated tech. Imho
Thanks for the trust (Iām not worthy) but while on the subject
Never liked the U12t ( can understand why some love it though )
64 Nio is a veiled mess in stock config (I enjoyed for a while but never returned)
U18 is a +6BA and +$1000 over U12t and my original video was taken down because it was deemed offensive by Youtube. It was just a lotta F bombs and adjectives ā¦a few nouns.
Sony M9 is another set that baffles me. My mele has better mid clarity than that hazy mess.
I got all Sony stuff, cuz I love the company and know 2 people in and 1 retired.
M9 is hazeā¦fuzzy BA hazes
Very humble of you. Youāre the only reviewer thatās ever hit with such accuracy for recommendations for my preference I know. And also spoke in reviews that was articulated well for a newb to the hobby. To date the only rec that hasnāt really done well for me is the Oracle.
Funny enough my curiosity peaked for you when I saw where you placed the U12T. Was my first over $200 IEM. It didnāt wow me long term for its price and left me longing for something else I was unsure off. Only rec I had of yours at the time was Hana 2021 which another reviewer swayed me towards. It was also the first IEM that hit a FR that made may say thatās it I want more. My first buy from your list was the Xenns Up and you won me. Hands down still my favorite of them next to the Kinda Lava.
Now hear I am blind buying recs from this thread and finding them great. You and your following are great and Iām excited to see what you have around the corner for colabs. Theyāll definitely be in my cart. Keep on hustling!
2 pin connector & shell / driver cavity.
Iād like to see some bigger drivers. If somebody can pull off a Timeless with extra slam/stageā¦
Timeless has a typo: āGold-plated cpntactsā
But yeah, these two use very similar components / tech
Getting a recommendation right for a friend always feels great.
A friend that loves both slightly bright tonality and planar sound, I recommended the S12 to him, and it has been a huge hit. He also loves playing with EQ, which that is a perfect IEM for EQ heads.
It genuinely does feel great, I have to say. He had them on half of the day yesterday at work and seeing him geek out to his music in a way heās probably never experienced is very gratifying.
The S12 seems like an amazing choice! My buddy wanted the Timeless but couldnāt justify the price. I ended up recommending the S12 but it was still out of his price range. Itās been 3 days and heās already looking to upgrade I told him this hobby will consume him!
We have all been thru the sameā¦ the rabbit hole will never endā¦
Seemingly, huh? Iām still trying to shake that impulse to buy more things, Iām sticking it out!
@hawaiibadboy Thank you for the comparison review. I guess Raptgo Hook-X is open back planar so I think itās in a different category from Timeless and S21. If possible, could you compare it to other open back planar like Audeze open back planar IEM even though itās bit outdated?
One more question, how is Raptgo Hook-xās openness compare to earbuds (like VE earbuds or Moondrop Chaconne)?
