Hoping this case style becomes a common standard!
I’m very close to pulling the trigger on these so super interested on your thoughts.
My thoughts are: For $99 it’s a rec.
Higher res than Timeless?
1st impressions? Yes. The fit is pretty nice for me too.
What’s the bass like…it’s clearly more sub bass tuned .
Is that noticeable over the timeless?
The tips in the case look like a sandwich baggy full of Skittles
Crinacle already reported about QC issues with Dioko in his discord. Hope no one here was in a rush to grab one for himself. Or just lucky enough to avoid this problem.
What was the issue?
Only question is do you the Red one or Blue One LOL
An update on the Dioko: it seems that some of the tuning filters that were ordered by the factory were sent in the wrong specification, so some Dioko units are underdampened in the mids and highs
For these early buyers, you will be receiving a follow-up pack of the correct filters, stencils, tweezers, and replacement instructions.
Nothing really serious and irreparable.
Seems like less a QC and more of a logistics issue; extremely disappointing for a hot launch, but like you said, nothing a lil’ patience won’t fix.
Seems to be a supplier issue…thats pretty easy to solve now its been identified.
After u18s, I will never buy all ba Iem again. IMHO there’s no reason for the subpar bass.
Because bggar is here, I thought this was a ba bass free zone
Mest mk2 keeps amazing me. Especially when I listen to bad tuned bassy iems. Or ba bass.
Bad bass really strains the mids and treble. Amazing how mest gives solid sub bass but everything still separated.
Mest scales better than any other Iem I’ve heard this far. Sounds good with all my daps.
Well put. Most music played in a venue of any kind or via home and auto systems has a present low end…often quite present. When you isolate with earplugs (earphones) and tune out some low end it ruins actual identifiable physical instruments and dries out vocals.
Ordered it due to your photo. I still have heavy QC worries, but let’s see!
damn this at 100 bucks plus the olina plus the dunu titan s plus the aria/aria snow edition makes this 100 range even more difficult… i literally spent like 20 minutes EQing my chu to what each IEM as squiglink says is the autoEQ and they all sounded so great (my test songs were “days like these” by low because of its noisy segments showing any possible shout, and the weeknds “party and after-party” since its a track i love and really shows a good punch, kick, and vocal presence)
also to note i did have some agreed on opinions, the aria snow was a little more shouty than the aria and somewhat sounded alright but also wasn’t perfect, the olina seemingly is a vocal king, and the dunu and aria were solid overall sounding with natural vocals and a mildly more impactful bass (but tastefully)
now with the dioko which is harder to represent in EQ because of the driver difference i dunno WHERE to go
What do you think about Arya Stealth vs HE6se?
