What do you think, Chris, worth the cash due to the kinetic bass novelty?
For that kind of cash, there better be more to it than novelty lol (and based on impressions, if the tuning matches taste, it sounds like there is).

It’s not a novelty…the XE6 was though. This is Bass perfection in quality, texture, timbre.

After the XE6 bummer this was not expected…that is key too. I actually expected the opposite

Do things ever really live up to our expectations?
Honestly, when talking about this hobby, most of the sets I’ve enjoyed the most are the ones I had no preconceived thoughts about. Very rarely does a set I’m anticipating live up to the hype in my own head (Dunu Vulkan is the only one currently in my collection that has).
All my other favorites are sets I tried, not expecting anything but being blown away

My FatFreq Maestro SE just arrived today, and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. It may have been 2nd hand, but it is still by FAR the most money I have ever spent on a blind buy… and it was almost 100% thanks to you and your reviews.
Thank you so much for having such killer taste and sharing your passion with likeminded music-lovers. FatFreq better be SOO grateful for you, because your reviews have single-handedly turned so many people onto their IEMs.

Got the Moondrop Free DSP cable today. Can’t get it to work, sadly.
I downloaded the newest Moondrop LINK app available (1.0.33c-231027 (build 33), updated on 27th Oct), granted the app all the permissions it asked for, enabled Bluetooth and Location Services, plugged in the cable and that’s all I got:
After pressing OK the pop-up goes away only to show up again after a second. I press OK and once again - it disappears and then appears. Endlessly.
If I press Cancel or hit the area outside the box, I’m no longer bothered by the pop-up until I unplug and plug the cable again.
However, adding it manually via the plus button and selecting USB DEVICE, then FreeDSP gives this:
This app is one of the worst I’ve ever tried…
Configuring Moondrop Space Travel (which I also own) wasn’t that bad.
