Yeah, I remember you mentioning that before so shared that with you (you already get it) .
So they are essentially taking their asset which is control of a supply chain and abiity to go from idea to wrapped box and doing their own thing.
EXAMPLE:
Fearless Audio was a brand that was built by Sellers and influencers and most importantly…customers.
They were then ,…while at an enviable point, (Crin’s 1st and maybe best collab “Dawn” was with them) , several great sets and good QA/QC…taken over by the OEM…and imploded.
You cannot autimatically “take over” a brand and sellers are going to get on board with the hijack.
Thie was born after that as were agreements that prevent sellers from getting hosed.
It happened many times 10 years ago but that is short money and Fearless ws the most recent example/ cautionary tale

Yeah, my company did face those same problems too, which is why they’ve been moving more and more in controlling the manufacturing side.
Gotta be real careful working with Chinese OEMs.

The whole story about the well crafted idea from scratch…a dream…was all a hustle and not true.
It was an existing set that was quickly yanked and re capped.
I know the hobby deeply and it’s common but that story of the dream coming true was un needed bullshit
It was a W10 recapped and as much was pretty much later admitted.
I spent $600 of my money trying o help and was delivered a very ghetto set that was deemed by him and Penon to be a set that was to be replaced.
That fast reply was because that set was in hype mode and he leapt on any probs immediately…it’s now a dead set really and image maintenance is long gone.
HiFi Guides was used as a promotional tool and when that phase was done the after care was …there is none…this site is for promo only.
Moondrop was crazy with the pass the buck game but it was always replying and it got worked out.
This is what I thought it would be…like your gif…you see it coming but cross your fingers your wrong.

We did a deep dive on this set on Discord cuz some folks know more than I mentioned.
It is quite the hustle.
The meticulous built from ground up on a dream was so far from the actual story my set had the original sets cable with the Forget Night Audio

It was a re-capped set, a guy on Discord even knows the guy called Jinny who basically said yeah…it’s a Forget night with new caps same driver. He didn’t see any real issue to it all cuz he is not crafting origin stories.
@Ohmboy you did your job. You are not a parent taking care of children and you don’t get paid for this stuff.

When I asked Mr Kong - Mr PENON about the Butmonster set he straight up told me to not bother.
OK wow thanks was my reaction… but that speaks volumes about the set and the guy sponsored the project that he probably regrets doing it.

I bought a Butty and liked it, but sold it quick. I mean it had a ton of space, and a reasonable shell, but the issue with any set above say 200 is its gotta be really good. It makes me rethink the hobby. I appreciate you guys a lot. @hawaiibadboy @Ohmboy @ToneDeafMonk

And he got booted off head-fi
American Spirit chose to no longer post on Dead-Fi because he got designated as a supplier and since he wasn’t willing to pay fees to promote his Colaberation that was the end of that as far as I understood the way it went down.
He left and was not banned.

Actually…I am not a fan of his but that is me and most of the hobby 
Night Oblivion re brand with an elaborate origin story was 100% not his idea.

That is really fucked too bad for the hobby all around. I hope everyone who bought one actually enjoys the tuning and your old set gets replaced in a timely fashion.

I’m never getting my set replaced. It’s been near 4 months.
