Just gonna play devil’s advocate real quick. I’m not saying this is the common case or the case here but it’s not unreasonable that in some countries $10 is a lot and is something someone can’t scrounge up on the fly.
Edit: and definitely hope Kai gets better soon. Idk how it’s been in Japan (you haven’t moved yet, right?) But here it’s just been a constant merry go round of sicknesses. I swear my kids have been sick more than they have been healthy since October

the way you describe the Canpur and with it being an all BA set…balanced armatures couldn’t possible be moving that much air compared to a dynamic…so that BC along with the shell density has to be the culprits
