In regards to my Hype 10…I think the Sonion 28UAP bass BAs that help the the dynamic drivers give that set the extra body…not a basshead set for a true basshead like myself but man…what a resolving low end…just plain luscious
I love this set…and I’m only on my second day

so the Hype10 has 2DDs and BAs for the bass… damn thats sick. All for under $1k.
Not even gonna try them out? I heard they are very polarizing. btw where did you get them for that price new? I ask cause people tend to stay away from used senny IEMs due to the sheer amount of fakes out there

A lot of the Canpur models use the Sonion 38D2XJ007Mi-8c model for lowend, and at least on the CP32E, I can confirm that they put in that work!

Yes, the 38d2xj is used as a subwoofer tho, I’m talking about a powerful dedicated mid woofer to handle 200-1k
Dual vented ones, these gonna be as powerful as a dd, will also help me achieve my sound target for the next model.
I’m trying a new 1.5k dip, I’ve noticed it make vocals more intimate by losing the immediate upper harmonics of them, I’m still trying to see what’s going on with other instruments, cuz 1.5k makes them sound noisy/nasaly but dip that region, it makes it muted and more high definition (removes the noise) i feel it making instruments like over drive guitars loose their characteristics… But it seems to have a very good effect on overall presentation otherwise. It makes everything sound big without losing the sound stage.
I believe in testing through eq especially in the 200hz-8khz region, cos drivers are usually sounding similar there unless you run into a driver or an iem with a particular driver that has a nasty peak in that region.
Safe way to test out a rather good sound signature.
Only thing we can’t account for is insertion depth and seal/venting.
Venting here i mean for ear pressure relief rather than driver back vents. Based on good venting, an iem can sound pretty open like open back vs closed back.
Ear gain changes things fora lot people, it can be a make it or break it kinda stuff. Especially for people who are critical about vocals

Just wanted to chime in today it cracks me up how people complain about taxes. Not the senders fault they want to be honest, stop expecting people to stoop to your level, so laughable. The thing that I’m realizing is there are collectors and there are givers in the hobby. I’m sure Chris could collect iems and if he did he’d had a ton, like Wilt Chamberlin level of numbers.
You only get two ears. And I think it’s stellar to share those samples and purchases with the world. Big props as collecting 1000+ iems could also be an option, but sharing it with the world on your own dime… super awesome. Thanks for the content and the giving back to the communitty and animal shelters. I also think the donation thing is really awesome as well, everyone wins and nobody cries about taxes because they aren’t an entitled ahole looking for free stuff.

I too wanna say I appreciate the impressions! After I heard the sound demo Linsoul had a while back on the Hype4 and Hype10 I quickly started looking for spare change in the sofa cushions to order the H10. Needless to say I’m waiting for my order now, and I’m glad to hear that what I heard in the sound demo may have been accurate to some degree!
The H4 is already fantastic to my ears, but hoping the H10 can fill a different vibe
