I had the Pula 02 in my Ali cart…got as low as $148 or something like that, but I managed to resist the hype train this time. I’m finally happy with my collection after getting the Simgot EA1000, so I’m not in such a hurry to buy something shiny & new anymore. I sort of want to buy a 2nd pair of EA1000 for backup, just in case the end of the world happens & I need it for an emergency, but as soon as I do that there will be an EA1000 Pro Ultimate IEM with an even more purple driver.

The Fat Freq ball started rolling down hill quickly when I showed the FF GM had a mid bass that was same amplitude as Elysian Anni 2021 which was deemed “Audiophile”
Maestro series was being dubbed “Basshead”

It’s not set in stone because I am constantly working on optimizing things. But some things are certain.
Full metal build, designed to be repairable (yes, even the 2 pin connector).
Generally high attention to detail/nice to haves: 3-in-1 interchangable cable as standard, recessed connector, linear impedance (hopefully - it’s a difficult thing to implement to a high standard as the circuit is large), low waste packaging, and charitable donations with every purchase.
Hybrid design, 4 way crossover. Custom DD, not “oh I chose a different diaphragm material” custom but one where I redid the whole magnetic system for better performance. Driver count TBC, It’s pretty near final already but I’m doing the last experiments to see which of the 3 configs sounds best.
I will be taking it to a few local meets for feedback before locking it in. The graph you see is not final.
Price will be… High. High enough that it’s definitely not a wise impulse buy. I can’t give an exact figure but don’t expect it to compete with even expensive chifi for value. That’s just how it works unfortunately, I can’t compete with chifi bang for the buck but I will try provide a good experience in other ways.

Not calling you out or anything! It’s rare for one person alone to cause excessive hype, but over the last few months there has been more and more attention and it’s definitely causing some pressure to build up. I want to do my best, but want to do it responsibly. Unless I have all the parts already on order, I don’t want to take preorders, to ensure I’m not taking someone’s money on a promise I can’t keep. So that will definitely be a challenge for me. Some highly regarded people in the hobby are saying that if it turns out how they expect based on the tuning and direction they’ve seen so far, they are calling it their “desert island IEM”.
That’s some big shoes to fill.
Let’s hope I become diamond not just graphite

It has Bellsing BA’s which are basically the worst. $150 for nice caps (if that is your thing) and…
When you see a buncha new members joining to chat up a set or brand you have never heard of the radars should start pinging.

Did I miss something? I thought the Pula-02 had nothing but positive reviews…
That said, I’m still unclear as to which iem comes out on top amongst the OD200, EA1000, and other similar priced units.
Would be nice to know what you think - as you seem to have tried many of them lately.

Don’t know anything about Pula’s earphones, but I’ll tell you one thing:
You can buy the case separately and it’s reeeeally nice 
If you’re looking for something nice and small to carry a pair of high-end IEMs, I highly recommend. (The blue and gold suits my Maestro SE especially well 
)

I managed a couple of hours with the Pula and it did sound nice to my untrained and amateur ears, but I had some discomfort with the shell. They’re boxed up and ready to sell next time eBay UK does a weekend with reduced selling fees.
The OD200 is a lot more comfortable for me but definitely has a warmer and less airy, open sound. Still very nice but quite a different sound in general to the Pula.

Pula , in Romanian , actually means “penis” but In a very vulgar way. So things like : putting the Pula in my ears for a couple of hours sounds really funny

Legacy terms still being used when the truth is in the music library and time stamps.
When I got QKZxHBB, I thought finally, I’m not going to accept less bass than this from now on. This is how I’d hear it coming from larger diameter headphones. Despite being inexpensive, I thought the driver was quite nice in that one btw
So much of the market remains untapped because harman still equals audiophile. Keep banging that drum, there’s an army behind you now…

I mean it’s also totally possible - some people have that power. There’s a reason companies are itching to send products to influencers. But this hobby is quite niche, there are very few individuals with the ability to instantly overwhelm a company.

SE Twilight for 680 ducats but I might be able to chip away at that…in like new cond …but I already have too many single DDs as it is and I’m not sure if it could dethrone my Oriolus as the best DD I’ve encountered…money’s not the prob and I’m not really asking if I should… because I’ll probably just jump anyway

Have to admit I’m on the hype train for EJ07, twilight. @VIVIDICI_111’s and Shortbus’ descriptions of EJ07 have me so intrigued that I have to listen to them at least. Will end up dragging me back to the canjam I’ve been avoiding for a few years now just to see if they are there
