You can hear it firstly and second I have a IEC711 clone coupler.
I measured both sets and left custom and right standard were a perfect match.
Man do I miss listening to this set. I stopped when my set got pooched.

Didn’t know you could get custom faceplates thats cool, the faceplates on the one I got are slightly yellowed so it looks like a nice vanilla rather than super white.
I can’t personally hear any difference but I should also buy an iec 711 at some point for fun

Sam audio good as a shop/service. Just their in store demo policy is very annoying, 
Can’t demo stuff for long, Zeppelin and Co is on 2nd floor same building Sim Lim Square, many people end up going there instead…

Also, shout out to the staff who keep HFG going, I’ve found the design is intuitive and one that encourages interaction, which I avoided on ‘other’ sites, even YT. My particular brand of smart-arsery can be in poor taste at times but in the spirit of ho’oponopono, it’s something I continue to figure out as I learn to use the internet (aimed in the general direction of toecutter). I’ll be around here and there…but truly I think this site (and the small space hbb carved out) is a gift for all music lovers (yeh…there are some who don’t care for music!)

Chris, the HADES have better resolution than QKZ x HBB? Because I own them and I like the tuning but no res.

The bass is 1 DD (also a lot o the mids) and same size for upper mids treble.
It is more resolving but it’s resolving alot lota bass
