the prediction is that 5080 will cost around 1000-1200$ maybe so i wouldnt get your hopes up too much 
i just pulled the trigger last september for a 4070 super and super happy with it, granted i came from 1070 lol

The Cayin N3Ultra is another favorite and as its subsystem is andriod there’s no 20,000 track limit. It sounds glorious with 3 discernable sound signatures. To be honest its more useful as a dap.

Don’t forget that a new generation can come with offloading used cards and old stock; just having the release of the 50XX cards could cause the 40XX cards to drop so that you spend less for the same card you may have gotten before the new releases.

Very curious to see what 5000 series will bring to the table. Especially for renders in 3d software. I feel like they’ll hike the price even further lol, beyond expectations.
Not a fair comparison sure, but in IEM world things are getting more performant and better built at ever lower prices, and very quickly. While something like graphics cards has substantially slowed down on improvements. There are giant hurdles to overcome sure, like thermal constraints, but imo the lack of competition shows bigly too.

if that’s true, I’m literally out even if they “lower it” they’ll do something like 950 meanwhile I can just grab a 4080 super on sale when the 5k series comes out since there’s no game I’m looking out for. I just wanna path trace my modded cyberpunk playthrough lmao

in other stuff, I finally got around to trying Deuce with the impedance adapter and basically I don’t have to buy any new IEMs anytime soon

Yeah, he’s 22 months old and can navigate the TV remote better than me. It’s crazy how a childs blank slate mind just process stuff logically and efficiently while adults have multiple thoughts and feelings going on constantly and it jams up the logical progression.
He just moves like a learning machine till I interrupt him…then stuff goes sideways.
